--------------

Stella: I have this unexpected craving of Evan. I need to text him.

Logan: go on. Text him.
Man what is he chocolate?

Stella: not funny at all.

Logan: Evan's here. I'll text you later:P

-------------------

Evan stared at Logan who was texting non stop. What was wrong with him. He needed to tell him everything.
"dude what's up with you?," Evan cringed listening his own voice, why the hell did he sound so bummed? He had no idea. Logan shrugged, dramatically smiling at his mobile screen even though there was nothing. Sighing he placed his cell beside him and stared back at Evan who was suspiciously eyeing him.
"Nothing," he replied nonchalantly.
"Who were you texting?," Evan demanded furiously.
"No one-," the moment these words left his mouth, his cell phone vibrated and Stella's caller id flashed across the screen. Her picture staring back at them.
"-You're interested in," Logan quickly added.

Evan stared at her picture, an unexpected feeling rushing through his body. He felt acid circulating along with his blood. His jaw clenched as he demandingly glared at Logan who was foolishly looking back at him.

" you guys are exes! You should hate each other!," Evan burst forth.
" you can't just hate this girl! And you just can't stop texting her once you get addicted to her!," Logan acted casually but mentally he was dancing as he saw Evan glare at his cell phone.

"She's the one." He stated, his eyes still on his phone.
He expected Logan to call Stella right there and tell her to mind her own damned business but he was wrong. Logan's words left him speechless.
"You hate her right?, so everything's cool."he said acting as if he was carefully weighing his words.
"You left her and As long as you don't care, I can have her back." Logan stated and smiled before adding"I'll try to get her back."
Evan seethed with fury. Without saying anything he ran out.

-----------------

It had only been one week since Logan's party. For Evan it felt like eternity.

Moving his left hand through the dark brown hair he squinted at the words that jumbled in front of him. He never seemed to concentrate on anything. He was sure it wasn't because he felt anything towards Stella in fact it was because Logan was giving her way too much importance and he didn't like it a bit.
His eyes moved from the text book gingerly towards the front seat where he expected Stella to be seated but his eyebrows knotted in confusion to find her spot empty.

He had to stop his hands from reaching up to the back pocket of his jeans for his mobile phone, cursing under his breath he stared blankly at the teacher who was concentrating on the white board.

Groaning he pulled out his cell phone.

--------------------

"I told you!" Stella shouted at Logan who was seated one stair above her.
Logan still stared at his watch not even glancing towards her. He was quite sure that Evan would eventually notice her absence in the class and text her straight away, but why was it taking him so long. His frenzy of thoughts were interrupted by the ping of Stella's mobile and her eyes widened like saucers.
Quickly tapping on the front screen of her smart phone, she couldn't stop the disappointment that showed clearly as she sulked.
"It's Natalie." She stated and shrugged.

Although in her heart she knew Evan wouldn't text but she couldn't stop herself from hoping, specially when Logan was so sure. He was so sure that for the past ten minutes she actually thought Evan would miss her and text her. Now she realised why she shouldn't bring her hopes high, when they crumbled it hurt.

"Let's go to the locker room, I've to get my things for the next class." Logan murmured and stood up, cleaning off the dust off his butt. Stella smiled weakly at him. Pulling her emotions behind the emotion less mask.

As they reached the locker room the corridor started to be filled with students that were filing out of the class rooms.
Stella gave a last smile to Logan and started walking towards her locker when she stumbled and her leg got caught in to her own leg as she tumbled towards the door.

For her everything stopped and as in movies in slow motion her face inched towards the hard concrete floor. She wished if there was someone, 'the knight in the shining armour' to save her but closing her eyes she felt herself crash into the hard cold floor.

Swearing under her breath Stella quickly stood up to find Logan laughing his ass off."that- that" he kept on repeating, clutching his sides as tears rolled down his face, his lips were stretched all over to his ears.

" that wasn't funny at all!" She shrieked and huffed crossing her hands over her chest.
"I hate you Logan! You could've helped!," she pinched him the sides and glared at him only to double off his laughter.
"But I love you!" He whined and Stella couldn't stop but roll her eyes.
"Sure you do," she mumbled punching him the stomach.
------------------

Evan was the first person to walk out of his class, he had tried hard to ignore the urge to text Stella but now he needed to see why she didn't attend the lecture.
Making his way through the corridor he walked towards the canteen only to be stopped by a voice that he could recognise anywhere. His best friend.

"But I love you!" Logan almost shouted.

He froze. "Sure you do," Stella replied and he couldn't stop the rage that filled every single fibre of his body. She had skipped the class undoubtedly to be with Logan.
He stopped himself. Why the hell did he feel this way?
The reality was, he never thought he'd miss her but now he was feeling like a fool.

The reality hit him like a ton of bricks, paralysing him.
