Too late to fall for you (Prologue)

Lianne's POV

Pinatawag kaming lahat dito sa office ng Student Body Council. Meron kaming meeting about sa retreat na gaganapin sa isang resort and retreat center sa Laguna.

"You see bukod sa physically fit, kailangan din na mentally, emotionally and spiritually fit tayo. Moreover this is the last retreat we will be having before matapos ang mga terms natin. The second sem of this school year will end soon. We will all be busy and it's are last chance to somehow release any negativity before we face finals and graduation. That is why I hope you will all participate. Okay ba yun?" Explain ni Veronica ang President namin. My bestfriend

"Sorry I am late." All eyes were on him now. Everyone in the room started murmuring, judging, admiring, adoring his appearance.

Everyone was dragged to his presence except for me. He is special to me but I know my dreams for him will surely not come true.

In this room everyone especially the girls started talking but not me. I remained in my sit and act as if I don't care. Yes pretending is the name of the game.

"Mr. Clarton a pleasant surprise akala ko di ka na darating. You may now sit." Sabi ng adviser namin na nakatayo sa tabi ng pintuan.

"I will always be here sir. Na late lang ako." Sabi niya sabay shake ng hands.

After nun nagtangalan na ng bag sa gilid ang mga kasama ko na nakaupo. Ako naman vacant na talaga yung sit na kasunod ko kasi jaan naka upon si Veronica kanina.

I was not looking but I can feel what direction will he be and I was right he was heading to my direction.

I was focusing kay Veronica than entertaining my mind to Aron. I want to refocused myself away from him. Lalo na at mahalaga itong retreat na ito.

"Buti naman at nakarating na ang treasurer natin." Veronica Smiled to him.

"Uhmm... Lianne paki sulat nalang yung mga dadalhin natin at kailangan." Bilin ni Veronica. Ako naman ang secretary.

I just nodded at her and continued taking down notes.

"Siya nanaman ang tinabihan ni Aron." Sabi nung katapat ko.

"Ang alam ko si Lianne talaga ang patay na patay kay Aron ayaw lang umamin."

"Nakakainis! Siya nalang lagi."

Omy Gash! This is what I am afraid of. Actually di kami close ni Aron. Ewan ko ba sakanya bat siya ganyan saakin. Hindi ko alam kung close kmi o ano.. I really don't know.

Ako lang kasi ang classmate ni Aron dito and since then lagi kaming magkaklase. Pero di ko masabi na close kami. Hindi ko nga alam kung friends kami. Ang alam ko lang I call him when it is important and he approaches me when he needs something.

"Okay so Lianne problem nalang natin eh yung ride na sasakyan natin pwede bang kayo na ni Aron mag asikaso nun?" Sabi ni Veronica.

"SEE?? Sila ulit magkasama... "

Nakakainis na talaga... kaya lagi akong pinag iinitan eh.. Dahil dito.

"Pero diba may nililigawan si Aron?" Sabi ng babae. Teka mga officers ba ito??

Nag nod nalang si Aron. Ayaw ko bigyan ng meaning yung pag payag niya. Kaya maraming babae nasasaktan eh kasi lahat nalang binibigyan ng meaning which is hindi dapat.

"Okay then... meeting is adjourned. You may all go."

Nagsi tayuan na ang lahat at ako nilikpit yung gamit ko. Ako pinaka makalat paano kasi?? Dami pinasusulat ehh..

I put my things inside my backpack and was on my way to the door. I know he is behind me. I may not see him but with his presence I can feel him.

"Lianne" he called

I turned around "Ano yun??" Acting normal.
"You dropped your handkerchief." He said as he held me my hanky

I grabbed it from his hand and in a flash I run outside the office.

He is Aron Clarton, he is the treasurer of the Sudent Body Council. Knowing Aron for a long time I never had a chance to talk to him in a personal way. I was used to be paired with him, have a group work with him, being his seatmate chat Him in a random way but we never had a chance to talk with our personal lives.

I had a crush on him since then, no one knows that except for Veronica. She is one year older than me but she is my closest friend.

Actually it's already our semester break but some students has their catch-up classes and I think a lot of student intended to be in the catch-up class this year.

You know why? Dahil kay Aron. Si Aron kasi continues na nag claclass not because he is left behind, but more on he is advanced with everything. Since then continues na siyang honor student. Ako? Well I belong to the highest section pero it's a miracle na ata na makapasok ako ng top 10. Hindi naman kasi big deal saakin yan.

I'm on my way to the school's gate dahil hindi naman ako mag cacatch-up class eh... Pero nakarinig ako ng tiliian ng mga babae.

Oh! No! Don't tell me...

"Lianne!"

And yeah I know by the voice it was really him. Naku naman pag iinitan nanaman kami nito.

I turned around and gave him my normal reaction. Yes I have a big crush on him pero di na ako umaasa na magkakagusto siya saakin. Sino naman ako diba? Siyaka I know he is inlove with someone else. Much prettier, smarter than me. Why would I expect?

"Come" He said as he grabbed my hand and pulled me.

Lianne... yung puso mo ano ba yan. Wag kang aasa di ka magugustuhan niyan, may kailangan lang siya kung bakit siya ganyan saiyo. Sabi ko sa sarili ko. Pero nakakapanibago he never hold my hand before

"Waaahh! First holding hands ng LiAron yan!! (Pronounced by: Lee-A-ron ^_^ hahaha tama ba? A/N)

"Lianne.." Sabi ni Aron as he lead me to a place that is behind the building.

"Yes?" Again normal reaction. Ayaw ko na ipakita na kinikilig ako o whatever baka kasi isipin niya na patay na patay ako sakanya

"When is the retreat again? Hinahabol kita kanina but you were running too fast. Dinala kita dito kasi di tayo makakapag usap doon lalo na pag maraming tao."

Aron.. Bakit ka ganyan? I really love the way you do things like that. I really like you but I know mas maganda na tinatago ko nalang sa sarili ko. Kasi baka pag umamin ako mabibigo lang ako.

"Next week Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday" I said while kungwaring chineck ang schedule para di niya makita ang pag blublush ko.

"Okey then see you tomorrow." He said and turned his face around and was ready to go

"What for?" I asked

"Para sa sasakyan natin diba?" He said. Oh yes! Oo nga pala

"Okay" I said.

I taught he will be going but then he turned around..

Ang gave me his smile.

That smile. Your Smile Aron Clarton, is so much satisfying, it completes my day, but I know those smiles will never be meant for mine.
