Chapter 14 - The Truth Hurts

I had been with Kol at his new apartment for a few days, It was more closer to Mystic Falls. I had face times with Elijah a lot and seen a smiling Sophia who was getting better. I was chilling on the sofa when my phone rang it was Rebekah.

"Hello Bekah"

"Bethany darling, how's wallowing in self pity coming along."

"just fine thank you, what can I do for you"

"Well our little friends here told me about Professor Shane how do you and Kol feel about a school trip" I looked over my best friend who shrugged in response

I stood outside Professor Shane's office with Kol, we were both listening in and I heard Bonnie.

"Looks like this is one for you bestie. I got within 15 feet she'll know" I looked up to him.

"See you in a minute" he left. Not a minute later there was a crash and Professor Shane was held onto by Kol.

"Bethany?" i smiled

"so glad you remember me. Aren't you ecstatic I'm Miss Mystic?" I grabbed hold of him and we went to the school. We found them in the school library where she said she would be.

"Sister " Kol poked his head through while I held onto Shane.

"Look at his you're even worse than Klaus" it was my turn to poke my head through.

"Kol don't insult your sister. Hey Beck"

"Kol, Beth. Finally. Did you bring what I asked for?" Kol went in and i pulled Shane in

"Beth what are you doing here" Caroline asked I said nothing.

"You must be Shane" she smiled

"the one and only rise to my fame and your new play toy. Happy late Christmas"

"thank you so much" she went to leave

"wait" they turned back

"Bekah could you do me a favour" I bit my lip

"what is it?"

"I've been thinking and in fact its driving me crazy. Which to know the answers to my questions I need you to compel them to answer my questions truthfully." she smiled

"of course" she sped over to them.

"You will answer all questions put by Beth truthfully. do you understand" the sighed and all nodded she left with Kol and Shane. I took off my jacket.

"so what your all original now" Caroline snaps.

"please don't Caroline, I feel shit as it is and right now I feel like I want my boyfriend and daughter" I sat down with them.

"you know for days I've been wallowing because it's my fault Carol died." I placed my hands in my heads

"what do you want a pity party" Elena breathes i snap my head up

"Elena take that back. She doesn't deal well with guilt" Caroline retorts

"it's true though, Damon even said so."

"and what because Damon says so, it's true?" I growl she said nothing. Angry I grab her arm and bite her she yells in pain.

"god I hate you so much." I sigh "that's not why I'm here. While I was wallowing I was questioning where my loyalties lie because both sides have family on it I had to discount that. So I called Nik and asked him something anyone care to take a guess as to what that is?" Again silence
