Waking up to her alarm at 3am Louise had to be on set for 4am for a early shoot, Mia the lucky cow had a day off and Louise could hear her muffled snores in the hallway as Louise walked zombie like down having just woke up.
Applying eyeliner, mascara and foundation to her face (Louise like the car flicks eyeliner look with eyeliner on the inner eye line ) she placed her 'bed head' in a messy bun and added a shine spray to make it look half decent and she got dressed in a navy play suit and her havaina flip flops. Something to keep her cool on this long hot day at work.
Checking her phone she had a text from James saying Liam got back from his friends okay and that he was in bed. Shows what time Louise went to bed if she is only getting this text now!
Hopping in her car she made her way to set, only a select few of actors were on set at this time and they all seemed to be having a break "hi Louise!" A few yelled towards her, she waved back and walked down towards them. "You look great!" Sarah said to her admiring her outfit. "Thanks, i struggled to get up this morning! But caffeine helps!" Louise replied, engaging in general chat with Sarah, Andrew, Steven Yeun and Jon, They made her feel quite relaxed being on such a big project with all these actors.
Switching on the lights to her trailer Louise walked in and set up what she would need by the criteria the director gave her. Andrew and Steven came in first they were filming the scene where Rick,Glenn, Daryl and TDog come back from Atlanta to find walkers had arrived at camp, hence the night filming.
Nattering away to them both she explained how she thought Steven actually looked like Glenn from the comics, he laughed and couldnt actually believe it when he googled it!
Next in the trailer was Norman, he looked shattered. "Mornin!" Louise said chirpily. "Do you want me to get you a coffee?" She asked, she was used to getting coffees for the actors on past projects. Norman shook his head for 'no' "so how are you this early morning?" She asked wiping Norman down and applying a primer to his arms to adhere to the dirt and grime she would apply. "Urgh" he groaned. "Mia isnt a morning person either" Louise said back with a smile.
"How can you be?" He asked confused, after all it was 4am. "Oh, well i have a 11 year old and he was always an early starter up until age 8! So im quite used to it. " Louise replied. "Still cant believe you have a kid. You are like crazy young" he said putting his face in his hands. Laughing ,Louise replied "well im nearly 30 so i not too young but i had to grow up fast i suppose" "im just over 40" Norman responded. "well you look amazing for it" Louise replied...a litte too confidently and immediately felt her cheeks flush red. She went dead silent after that hoping Norman didnt think she was a weirdo, well not anymore than he probably already did!
An assistant came in "Norman your scene is pushed back half hour while they re shoot a scene so feel free to have a break and we will call you when needed" and the assistant walked back out. "Oh?" Louise asked unsure on whether to carry on working on him."Well. Fancy a coffee? Ill bring you it in here" Norman asked her. Louise nodded "please, just a black coffee for me" Norman gave her a "thumbs up" and left the trailer.
On his return she held the door open for him as he bought in her coffee and one for him. He plonked himself down on the sofa in the trailer and Louise sat on the counter of the makeup worktop and swung her legs as she cautiously took a sip from the coffee.
"So, Daryl Dixon? Whats his story?" She asked intrigued seeing as he was a character for the show and not the comics. "Daryl is a somewhat loner, bit of a socially awkward being, but he is kickass with a crossbow!" Norman explained and more so with delight when he mentioned the cross bow. "Aaaah, i cant wait for this show to air i lurve The Walking Dead!" Louise said.
Norman and Louise spoke about his past movies and Louise said she had seen 1 or 2 of them and gave her opinions on them. Norman, wanting to know more about her asked about her family "well my parents sort of disowned me when i fell pregnant, they were stockbrokers, big money so they were very anti me and James so we moved to California when James got a job on film and we just lived there until we split. I cant actually say whether they have ever seen Liam. Sad really" she told him in detail. Norman listened to her intently, "i cant imagine doing it that young, i was 30 and even then i found that tough!" He replied.
Not realising they had been speaking for that long, it was only until a few extras came in for zombie make up did Norman say bye to Louise and return to set and left her to get back to work.
Norman was very easy to talk to, she thought. And handsome. Louise smiled to herself while working on the extras.
Later on in the day Mia and Joshua arrived and Louise was finished for the day, she had to get Liam from James and it was her weekend off!
Heading towards her car she lit up a cigarette, Mia didnt like smoking in the apartment and she didnt do it around Liam. Her lighter kept cutting out before she could light when a grubby hand came in her eyeline cupping a lighter and lit her cigarette, it was Norman. He gave her a look regarding her smoking but she just laughed. "Im free for the weekend now" she told him with a grin, Norman looked disappointed, "up to much?" He asked. "Im getting Liam and the its us two all weekend" she explained. "Well i guess ill see you Monday?" He asked her. Louise nodded and finished her cigarette and put it out in the ashtray on the bin. Waving bye to Daryl she unlocked her car "smoking doesnr suit you!" He yelled towards her playfully. Louise stuck her finger up in a playful/flirty way.
She had to wait a whole weekend to see Norman again. Why did that bother her?
