"Baba where? Baba where?" Maria kept repeating over and over as Lay was packing her backpack with toys food and other things she needed. "Baby girl shhh don't wake mama." Lay said smiling and picking up his daughter. Today he had planned a special day for him and his wife. They were going on a picnic in the park today, yes it was a little risky but SM told him it was ok for them to slowly start showing their relationship but to not completely come out. So he's going to take his wife on an actual date for the first time since they got married.

"Maria your going to stay with uncles today. Now promise Baba that you will be a good girl." He said and put on a cap and mask. Maria stairs at her father for awhile before smiling and nodding. "Uncles!!!" She yelled and Lay quickly shhed her and made sure Sydnie wasn't awake. He sighed with relief and took Maria to the car and strapped her into a car seat before heading to the exo dorms. When he arrived he used the back entrance to the dorms and went up stairs. He was holding Maria hand as they walked.

When they got to the door and went inside Lay took off his and Maria shoes. "Guys I'm here!" Lay yelled and Suho came to greet them. "Uncle Suho!!" Maria yelled and jumped into the leaders arms and he picked her up. "Hi Maria it's good to see you." The leader said and smiled hugging the little girl. " Bàba shuō wǒ jīntiān yào dāi zài zhèlǐ. Yīnwèi tā hé māmā dōu chūqù." Maria said in chinese and suho looked at her confused for a second. Tao walked over and chuckled seeing Suho face " She said that Daddy said I have to stay here today. Because him and mama are going out." Tao translated and waved to Maria. "Panda!" She yelled and reached for Tao who took the little girl. Lay chuckled watching them. "Thank you for doing this Suho, it means a lot really." Lay said and Suho waved him off. "It's nothing the boys like Maria well watch her anytime. I just make sure Tao, Luhan, Sehun and Xiumin don't take her shopping they want to by everything in the store for her." He said and laughed. Lay nodded and saw Chen run by and Maria running after him. "Maria give Baba kisses bye bye." Lay said squatting down and his daughter came and kissed his cheek. "Go have fun don't worry about anything." Suho said and Lay nodded and left.

On his way home his phone went off and smiled seeing it was Sydnie and answer. "Yes?" He asked. "Where are you? Is Maria with you?" Sydnie said slightly panicked. Lay chuckled "I just dropped Maria with the guys I'll be home soon so get ready to go out. Nothing fancy just really casual clothes because we will be outside." He said and he heard sydnie gasp. "Lay we can't you know that. If someone sees us...." She started and Lay quickly cut her off. "Let them see I love you. Now no arguing to get ready." He said and hung up the phone.
When he got home Sydnie was coming down stairs wearing jeans an a white shirt with an All Time Low sweater pulled over it and her converse. "You look pretty." Lay said and smiled going over giving his wife a little kiss before going to the kitchen. "Lay...we can't go out. I don't want you to get in trouble. I love you too but we cant." She said watching lay pack food into a basket. "SM told me today we can, slowly start letting people know about us. No we will not fully come out about it but we can start. I can finally take you on a date a really date. I haven't been able to do that since we got together so please just let me." Lay said and sighed. Sydnie smiled and walked over and hugged Lay trying hard not to cry.

"I'm so happy right now....I happy we can finally walk out in public together you have no idea." She said and Lay hugged her back. "OK then let's go. It's nothing fancy were just going to go to the park close by and have a picnic. And we're not taking the car were going to walk there." He said and they smiled to eachother.

They walked out the house and Sydnie grabbed Lay hand in truth they were both shaking. They both had mask on and caps upon Sydnie request too. Walking down the road they felt that all eyes were on them and they probably were but bother acted like it didn't bother them.

Finally reaching the park they picked a secluded spot and laid out the blanket and food. They sat down and Sydnie smiled taking her mask off. "I am honestly really nervous." She said and chuckled. Lay went to take his mask off and she stopped him shaking her head. Lay rolled his eyes "Fine I'll do this then." He said and took off his cap and laid down putting his head on Sydnie lap starring up smiling at her.

She looked down at him shocked and then relaxed as much as she could and started running her fingers through his hair and smiled. "I can't believe we're doing this...." She said and he nodded. "Maybe next time Maria can come with us." He said and sat up taking his mask off.

They spent the whole afternoon talking and laughing. It was great to finally be out together. They finished the food they brought and Lay had to put his mask and cap back on because people were walking by. When the park got really busy was when they decided to leave. After Lay dropped Sydnie at home he went to pick up Maria from the dorm.

When he arrived and opened the door going in he saw Maria asleep on the couch but she wasn't wearing the same clothes he brought her in. He sighed when chen walked up. "Luhan hyung couldn't help it he said he just had to buy it for her." He said and chuckled. Lay shook his head carefully picking up his daughter to now wake her. "You need to teach her Korean because either talks English or Chinese and when she speaks chinese only Luhan hyung and Tao can really understand her." Chanyeol said leaning on the door frame. "Thank you guys for doing this really. We had so much fun." Lay said and left going home.
