The Girl And The Love Interest

Chapter 12

We got to the amusement park in a little less than a half an hour. We split into groups of four. Amy and Luke with Elizabeth and Mikey, Calum, Ashton and Taylor, and I. We decided that we were going to eat last or we would lose our lunches if we did. We went on a minimum of five rollercoasters, I lost count after that. Then, Ashton wanted to show his skill to Taylor so we all went to the carnival games where Ashton spent at least 100$ trying to win Taylor a giant stuffed panda. After Calum, Taylor and I had finished playing some other competition carnival games we returned to the game we left Ashton playing. We looked around and couldn't find him, we walked up to a giant teddy bear sitting upright by the game. Calum kicked it and Ashton coughed loudly and stood up from behind it. Taylor and I died of laughter!
"Why would you do something like that?" Ashton asked still clutching his stomach.
"Because no one leaves a teddy bear in the middle of a carnival, and I saw you run behind it before Taylor turned around. " Calum finished grinning from ear to ear. Ashton punched him in the arm then turned to talk to Taylor about the bear and what it's name was going to be.
I stood and watched them talk for a minute. He really liked her, and she really liked him-
"They are perfect for each other." Calum said, inturrupting my same thought. I looked at him looking at them, he looked almost sad. I nodded my head in agreement.
We met up with Amy, Luke,Elizabeth, and Micheal arguing about not riding enough rollercoasters for the day. It was all three against Mikey.
Amy, Luke, and Elizabeth, went to go ride a few more rollarcoasters. Ashton and Taylor went to go ride on the Ferris wheel so I was left alone with Mikey and Calum. Oh how I hated my friends at this point.
"She's amazing. I can't believe how adorable and funny she is!" Mickey finished to me with a loving look in his eyes.
"Who are you talking about? You weren't even with Taylor. " Calum said joining our conversation.
I said nothing and just looked at Mikey. I wanted to see how he was going to get himself out of this one.
"Elizabeth...*sigh*" Mikey was still in his love-sick daze. I had to save him.
"Yeah, Elizabeth's best friend-MAKAYLA!" Mickey cut me off half yelling. My statement struck him out of his daze.

Me? Where in the world was this boy going to go with that?

"Play along" he whispered into my hair as if he was kissing my temple.
I put my arm around his waist and he put his arm around me.

"Oh, cool! I'm happy for you guys!" He actually bought it. He walked off telling us he needed to find the guys room.

I turned and hit Mikey in the gut.
"Me? Seriously!?"
"It's perfect! No one likes you like that so no one will want to fight me if I like you. It'll be my cover until I get him to stop liking Elizabeth and liking someone else." Mickey finished thinking he was a genious.
He was still clueless that I wanted Calum.
We met up with everyone and started out for some carnival food. Taylor had some big news she wanted to tell us, just when the boys weren't around. Mickey and Elizabeth were in the back of the group. Mickey was explaining his plan to Elizabeth. Then Elizabeth said something and Mikey stared at me wide-eyed. We all got carnival food and then headed out.
Us girls piled into Amy's car, just as the doors shut Taylor screams, "Ashton kissed me!".
