Ch.20 You're Okay

(Sam's P.O.V)

  I opened my eyes, getting slightly blinded by the bright lights. I looked around, realizing I was in a hospital room. I looked over to my right to see Taurtis, who was holding my hand. He seemed to have fallen asleep next to me. How long have I been out?

  I see him start to move a bit. He looked up at me with wide eyes. A big smile spreading across his face.

"Sam!! You're okay," He hugged me tightly.

"Can't. Breath," I squeaked out.

"Sorry, I'm just glad you're alright. I mean, the doctors said you would be fine, but refused to tell me what was wrong with you. They said that they wanted to wait till you woke up."

"How long was I out anyways?"

"Not that long, only about 6 hours."

  The door opened and a nurse stepped inside the room.

"Hello Sam, glad to see your awake," She smiled brightly.

"Okay, so why did I pass out," I asked.

"Well, we discovered that you are about seven weeks pregnant. Congratulations," She said happily.

  My eyes widen. Well, it did match up with every thing, considering that I had been show some signs of it. But I couldn't believe it, I was pregnant? What about school? What about my job? I mean, I doubt that during the type of training we're doing now, is a good thing to do while pregnant.

  As if reading my mind, the nurse said, "Don't worry, we have already notified your teachers and they are willing to keep this a secret if you, and will excuse you both, from anything that will hurt the baby."

"So the only big question is, do you want to keep the baby?" The nurse said.

  I turned to Taurtis, who looked as shocked as I was, but I knew I wasn't going to give up this baby, even off Taurtis threatened to break up with me. It was mine.

  Luckily, I knew Taurtis has also wanted a kid, considering we had talked about this before.

"What ever you want to do Sam. It's your body, what ever you decide, I'll stand by you," He said.

  I smiled and turned to the nurse, "I'm gonna keep it."

"Great! The doctor wants to do an ultrasound, if that is ok, to check on the baby before we let you go home," She said.

"Okay, that's fine," I responded.

  She walked out of the room, leaving me and Taurtis alone.

"We're gonna be parents," Taurtis smiled.

"Yah, but I think for now, I want to keep the baby a secret. We can tell everyone about it later," I said.

"That's fine, what ever you want to do."

  We heard a knock on the door, a doctor walked in.

"Hello, I'm just going to set up the machine and then we can get started," She said.

  Once she set the machine up, she turned back to us, "I'm Dr. Morgan, I'll be your doctor during your pregnancy, as well as the one who will help you give birth to the child."

  She began setting me up for the ultrasound. Eventually, we saw an image pop up.

"Now, you see that right there. That is your baby. It is small, so you if you look carefully, you'll be able to see it," She pointed to the screen.

"Oh, I see it," Taurtis said.

"That's cool, to think a person is growing inside of me," I said.

  She laughed, "Well you'd you like me to take a picture of it?"

"Sure," I said.

  Taurtis and I finally reached home. I sat down on the couch, looking at the picture.

"This is a little exciting," Taurtis said, siting down next to me.

"Yah. Do you think we're ready to be parents?" I asked.

"No, but we can learn, and we'll have help. The others will most definitely help as soon as we tell them."

"Yah, they'll want to make the baby's room. Yuki and Salex would probably fight over the color of everything," I laughed.

"Yah, I could see them doing that," He said.

"We also have to start thinking of names," I said.

"Yah, but we have a lot of time before the baby will come. I mean your only seven weeks pregnant," Taurtis said.

"Yah, you're right," I smiled.

  I was excited and a little bit scared, but most of all ready to take on this challenge, as well as a new chapter in my story.

  Hi guys, I'm excited for the chapters, how about you. How many of you guys though I was gonna kill Sam? I'm not that evil, I couldn't do that. Anyways, I'm learning a lot of stuff about pregnancy because I'm writing this, considering I wanted to make it as realistic to real pregnancy as I can get it.
