Ch.23 Fate Decided

(Sam's P.O.V)

  But fate decided otherwise.

The day had been normal, but of course things can always happen. That's why sometimes, you must expect the unexpected.

I woke up in a hospital bed, I remember very briefly what happened.

(Flashback~)

Taurtis and I were walking to school holding hands. I was laughing at him as he suggested baby names.

"What about Taurtis Jr?" He said.

"No, I don't want our kids to be named after us," I laughed.

"What about Steven?" He suggested.

"No, not that either," I smiled.

"What names do you want then?"

"I don't know? Maybe like Abigail, if it's a girl, or Alex, or Jaycee. And if it's a boy Kevin, or Dustin, or Andrew."

"Those are good, whatever you want is okay with me," He put his arm around me and pulled me closer.

As we walked inside the school, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned and saw Salex.

"Can I talk to you outside?" She asked.

"Sure. Taurtis, I'll see you in class," I waved to him and followed Salex.

"What did you want to talk to me about?" I asked.

"Nothing much," I heard a voice say behind me, "Just needs to get you away from the boyfriend of your's."

It was Justin. I backed up, only to bump into the person behind me, who definitely was not Salex. The person held me in place, and covered my mouth to block any cries for help.

"Rumor has it, you're pregnant," He said.

"And that is not something we can have. No no no. Not good at all," He shook his head.

"What are we gonna do with her, Boss?" The guy asked.

"Just keep her still," Justin pulled out a switch blade, "Whether you like it or not, I'll be removing this baby one way or another."

Tears began to stream down my face as I felt the blade pierce into my abdomen. I knew I could just teleport away, but that would end up killing the baby as well. My vision started to blur. I saw a figure running towards where we were. The guy holding on to me let go, I fell to the ground. I heard shouting, gunshots, and chaos around me.

'Please, it can't end like this,' I thought, 'This can't be my last breath.'

And then everything went black.

(End of Flashback~)

I looked over, and had a sense of deja vu. Taurtis was holding my hand, tears streaming down his face, only this time he was wake.

"Sam!" He hugged me still crying, "I thought I lost you."

"What happened? Is the baby ok?" I asked.

"Justin happened, he stabbed you. It would have been fatal," Taurtis looks down, "As for the baby... Well, they said they could only save one. I'm sorry Sam, I couldn't lose you."

Tears began forming in my eyes, "S-so... I-I-I'm"

Taurtis hugged me tighter, "Shh.... We'll get over this. It will just take some time."

I cried, and cried. I guess it just wasn't meant to be...

I'm sorry... I feel so evil right now. And yes, this was my plan from the beginning, I knew I was going to kill the baby when I first introduced it. And the Justin strikes again! To be fair, I did stay he was needed for further plot. Anyways, I hope you guys have a wonderful day. And I'll see you guys in the next chapter, bye~
