The Legend Of Snowfire

Chapter 2

Snowfire walked beside Skar and held the other pups on their backs.

"How did you do that?" Skar asked dumbfounded.

"I am the Eclipse wolf, Snowfire. I was abandoned when my mum found out about my birth date." Snowfire said, her head held high.

"Others will find out about your powers and appearance Snowfire, you will have to find a pack." Skar explained as Snowfire looked at Kayis, who had a scab on her head from Alyla's cuffing bite.

" Where are we going Skar?" Snowfire asked as they walked on and on, away from the cave with started the riot.

"Somewhere far away from that place. If i can only find her and get Sparc." Skar lowered his head.
"It's okay Skar. You and I will find her and-"

"What do you mean you and me?"

"I will help you. My task will wait until the right time." Snowfire said, looking up at the sky.

"What task?" Skar asked. But before he could get an answer, they heard paws pounding on the snow behind them.

"SKAR!!" A light grey wolf yelled from behind. Skar and Snowfire both turned around and looked at the running wolf.

"Skar! It's Alyla." It was no other than Streak, another outflanker in the Staangus clan.

"What about her. If she crying because of Snowfire? If so i don't ca-"

"She's building an army against... Snow.. Snowfire? Right? But anywho, her pup Sparc, is her assistant. She wants to kill all wolves against her or the Snowfires." Streak panted.

"Alyla is doing this? Go on." Skar asked, shocked at how quickly this escalated. First she hated Snowfire for being a Eclipolf, now she hates her because she told her straight?

How stupid was this wolf?! Skar silently roared in his head.

The three wolves walked and Streak informed them both on the shocking news. Snowfire didn't look at Streak while they walked, she only kept her head held high and ears perched alert.

"So how did you get the chipped tooth Streak? I noticed it by your slight lisp." Snowfire asked, sniffing the ground for small game to snack on.

"What the-? How did you know t-that?" Streak whimpered, Skar looked at her, he also noticed the slight lisp in her tone and the back molar was chipped so lightly, he wondered how Snowfire noticed it then he remembered that she had so freaky powers from being born on an eclipse.

"She was born on the eclipse." Skar blurted. Snowfire looked up at him aggravated.

"AN ECLIPOLF!!!" Streak yelled in front of Lupus and everyone.

"STREAK SHHH!!!" Skar whispered loudly at her. Snowfire lowered her head and shallowed her ears a little bit.

"It's okay Snowfire. Don't let this bring you down. Remember, Alyla is building an army and everyone would and will know about your secret." Skar smiled at Snowfire, hoping his smile would cheer her up. Unfortunately, it didn't.

"No Skar you don't understand. Being an Eclipolf is a curse. Eclipolf's powers must be used often, or else it will eat you up from the inside. You're not born on an eclipse so you don't understand the pain and struggle i must face throughout my life. Well, that is if Alyla and her army don't cut the year's short." Snowfire explained. Streak felt a tear swell up in her blue eyes.

"Don't worry Snowfire. We will help you." Streak said in a shaky voice. Skar nodded at the statement and rested his right front paw on her left front paw, stopping them in place. The pups on their backs squirmed, but remained silent.
