Have you ever just accidently stopped?
And paused because you could hear your own heartbeat?
Hear it bu-budumming inside your chest?

And foolishly tried to feel your own pulse, but not being able to because your stupid health teach was into theory, and not the applied sciences, and now you couldn't hear or feel anything?
But that's beside the point.

Because then you'd have stopped.
And you'd look around.
And you'd think about everyone else.

Suddenly you'd be able to hear your heart again.
You'd be able to picture everyone else's hearts too.
You'd think about them all.
Each person, and their heart beating.

You'd imagine it, and you'd come to think about how every isn't really themselves.
That they aren't people.

Not really.

Everyone is just a sum of their organs.
Little gray cells coming together and making movement.
Simulating thought.
Just a mass of matter.
Blood pumping through veins.
Pumping through their hearts.
Natural machines playing at life.

So have you?

What am I saying?
Of course you have.
