All in all, I was brilliant and Angela was... useful.

She kept going back over her sentences.
Trying to lessen their severity, and make them sound less accusing.

Thankfully everyone else got the point.
With my help of course.

Everytime Angela tried to back track, I raced forward - going on and on about so and so time when Kailey did what and what.

I surprised myself.
Most of what I was saying was actually true.
Instances I remember seeing and overhearing.

I could almost see Angela even being convinced of Kailey's alleged guilt.

And Kailey couldn't do anything.
Every comeback was filled with half lies that I handily helped point out.
Angela was very good at depicting Kailey as the thoughtless bully - in her own wary way.

Eventually it came to a point where I was ready to give her the death sentence.
But a small glance in Angela's direction made me realize I was about to lose my witness.

So to my bitter dissapointment I toned it down.

In the end we both got detention and were told to keep away from each other.

But secretly I was coming up with ways to get in her room at night - and without the police getting involved too.

Especially when she came up to me afterwards with a smug smile. Flipping her hair in my face.

Lucky for me Angela could sense something was about to go down.

She reached forward and quickly grabbed my wrist before I could wipe that cheep look off Kailey's face... again.

Kailey backed away in surprise, and I lowered my hand remembering myself and regaining my composure.

"What-! Did-didnt you-. What she was about to do!?-" Kailey sputtered out.

Angela had looked just as shocked.
But then she lowered her gaze and said,

"Well I-," then she looked Kailey in the eyes. "I didn't see anything,"

I looked around.
There was no one else there.

This time it was my turn to smile.
And boy did I grin wide.

Kailey gave a small 'harumph!', turned around, and walked out.

Angela was looking at me stricken.

My smile wavered, then turned to an angry frown all together.

"What?" I asked.

She looked at me with a query expression.

"She never stole your boyfriend, did she?"

I smiled again.
Someone was catching on.

"Not really, but thanks anyways,"

I turned to walk away.
The whole time complimenting my self on a job well done.

"Do you even have a boyfriend?" She called from behind me.

I glanced over my shoulder.

"Nope," then turning around to continue walking away, "it's like you said. 'You don't need a guy to be happy'. Or something like that,"

"Hey wait," she ran up to me and grabbed my shoulder. I turned and gave her the most crazed look I could muster. Looking at her hand and my shoulder - trying to make it perfectly clear that it was NOT cool to touch me.

She immediately released her grip - eyes wide.

"I just... Hey. You lied to me," she pointed a finger at me. "So don't be getting upset. You. Lied. To ME,"

I sighed. "Look you've gotten your comics. You've helped a girl out. Don't you feel satisfied?"

"I don't like being lied to," she said.

"Yeah, well. Get over it. It probably wasn't the first time, and probably won't be the last,"

"That doesn't excuse it you know,"

"Look. Goodbye, alright? I want to get out of here. I think after all this my parents might treat me to ice cream for all my trouble," I paused. "Mmmm. Chooocolate,"

"Do your parents know?" She asked

"What that I lied? Are you kidding? Of course not,"

She gave me that weird look again.

"Just tell me what you want, and then leave me alone. I lied to you - so what? Do you want money? A favour? Are you going to blackmail me?"

"What! No - no of course not. I just-," she paused.

"Just-? Just what? Come on spit it out. Places to be and all,"

She sighed.

"You know? Just - just never mind. Go ahead. Eat your ice cream. Congratulate yourself on a scheme well executed. Yeesh,"

I smiled. "Well thank you,"

And finally, finally, I turned to get the flipping flyburgers out of there.
