Chapter 5: Ice Cream

Mark's POV

"Oh. Sangjun. Why?"

"Can I escort you home?"

"Huh? Why?"

"Nothing. I'm just bored and I don't want to go home early. And besides, we don't have an assignment. So can I?"

"Uhm... Okay"

"Okay. I'm done. Let's go"

"Okay. Let's go"

Wait. Did I hear it right? Sangjun will escort Scarlet home? No way. Okay. I'm following them secretly, in case of emergency. I have to protect Scarlet. What if Sangjun has a bad intention on her? What if something bad will happen to her? I have to be there.

Before I follow them I have to get permission first so I came to the boys.

"Guys. Is it okay if you guys go home now? I'll just follow later. I have something to do right now. Bye" I said then waved goodbye and ran away. I am now behind them, but I was following them silently because I don't want to get caught. Even though I already know where she lives, I still have to follow them so I can make sure that she's safe.

Jackson's POV

Wait. What about Mark? He ditched us again. Maybe he followed Scarlet and Sangjun.

Oh yeah right! How could I be so dumb? I heard Sangjun asked Scarlet if he can escort her home and Scarlet said yes. I bet that Mark is already following them. Okay. I'm going to follow them too.

"Guys. Excuse me too. I also have to go somewhere" I said then ran away. And there I saw Mark, following Sangjun and Scarlet.
So he's really following Sangjun and Scarlet huh. He must be really jealous like me. I followed them until we reach their house. Now I know where her house is. Light bulb! I hope she's free tonight. I really can't wait!

Mark's POV

Well. She's safe now. She arrived safely at her house accompanied by Sangjun. Ugh. I hate that guy.

I was about to go home now but  suddenly I saw Jackson. Did he followed Sangjun and Scarlet too? So that means, he saw me too? And it means that he is also jealous. Haha. I Gotcha Jackson!

I decided to approach him and he saw me coming.

"Hey Jackson! So you followed them too huh" I smirked.

"So what? You followed them too, you know" He said.

"Yeah. I was just worried about Scarlet" I said honestly.

"Yeah. We both are. I also followed them for the same reason" He said.

"Okay. Let's go back now" I said then we started walking home.

"But Mark..." He stopped walking.

"I hope we can still be friends... even though, you know... we both like Scarlet" Jackson continued.

"Okay. After all we are still brothers right?" I said.

"Yes. So. May the best man win" He said then offered his hand for a shake.

"Okay. May the best man win" I said then we shook hands.

After our conversation, we both walked back to our house.

Scarlet's POV

"Thank You Sangjun" I thanked Sangjun for escorting me home.

"Your Welcome Scarlet" He said.
