Chapter 1: The Two Campers

Noah's POV
"I was super tired, I couldn't help it!" I tried to tell her "Hehe sure you couldn't" "Really! I would never!" "If you say so Noah it-all" Izzy snickered and ran away, leaving Noah on the cabin steps speechless. "Hey Noah!!" He yelled it so loud it scared me half to death, but then I saw who it was "oh... Uh.. Hey Cody" I hadn't spoken or seen him since the "incident". "Whatcha reading?" He asked, showing his gap-toothed smile. As usual I had a book in hand but I never read and tell. "I uh.. nothing..."I tried to act casual but at the same time I was blushing uncontrollably "What's up?" I asked him. "Oh nothing much, but hey have you seen Gwen around?" "As usual," I thought, "he's just being girl crazy, this is why I kissed when I thought he was sleeping." "Yeah, I saw her making out with Trent by a tree." I knew that would hurt him but I wanted him to realize that he's never gonna get Gwen. "Oh..." His expression darkened and he slowly sat down next to me. "Why won't she go out with me..?" I wasn't sure if he was asking me or himself but I spoke up anyway, "because she sees you as an annoying little brother.. But hey don't listen to her I think you're great!" I tired to say in a cool non-flirty voice either way I think I got through to him. He slowly looked up at me with his teal eyes and smiled at me "Thanks Noah you're pretty cool too" I felt all warm and fuzzy inside until he said "By the way your aim was terrible when you kissed me" He quickly walked away and I was left sitting there blushing like crazy but then I realized he said my aim was off... Did he WANT me to kiss him? I decided to shake the idea off and go back to my book. Until I was quickly interrupted again by Izzy.
"OHMYGOSHHECAMETOTALKTOYOU" "What?" I asked she said it so fast I wasn't sure if was English not that I was surprised. "CODY!ANDTHENHEKEPTSMILINGATYOU" "Iz calm yourself" God she's crazy I thought. "He likes you! And you like him!" This time it was quite obvious what she said, and again I began to furiously blush. "No I don't! And no he doesn't!" "Yes you do and yes he does!"
"DOES DOES DOES DOES DOES!!" "Ugh Izzy you're thinking too deep into this" which of course then caused me to think deeper into it. "Maybe he does like me.. He was smiling a lot and said my aim was off, implying that he wanted me to kiss him just not on the ear.." The more I thought into it the more it seemed possible. "Hey I thinking about changing my name How's telescope sound? Or maybe Kaleidoscope? Noah? Hello?" Izzy looked and and saw me crying. "Oh no Noah are you ok?" "Don't worry Iz, these are tears of joy." I turned to look at her but she was gone. "How does she do that?" I wondered. I shook it off and went back to reading but was yet again interpreted by the intercom "DINNER TIME MAGOTS!" That was Chefs nice way of telling us we'll be puking your brains out soon because of his terrible cuisine. Sadly on this island though you either ate or starved. So I reluctantly started walking to the dining hall.

Codys POV
I was in line for dinner right between Gwen and Trent. "If I can't get between them emotionally, I'll get between them literally" I chuckled to myself. I got my food and sat down. That's when he walked in. "Hey Noah!",I yelled probably louder than I should of, he smiled at me and got in line. Once he got his food he sat down next to me "ugh have you ever seen anything so revolting?" Noah asked looking at his food "yes actually", I responded "breakfast!" We both laughed, it was weird I haven't really heard Noah laugh much, but I liked it. All through dinner we went back and forth telling each other jokes "Wait wait I got one," Noah said. "What's better than Chefs food?" "I dunno what?". "ANYTHING" we both burst out laughing and then quickly stopped when Chef came over to us and grabbed Noah. Noah had a terrified look on his face. Chef quickly dragged him away into the kitchen. I watched behind the counter as Chef tied up Noah and sat him down next to an also tied up Ezekiel and began to stir a pot of something hideous. I saw some camera men come in and I expected them to help, but no as usual they just recorded everything. They said that they were filming for the intro. "Great", I thought, "he's gonna be seen as the guy that was tied up and forced to eat before people even see each episode". I quietly made myself known to Noah he smiles at me and then looked away out of fear of getting me caught. I slowly undid his ropes and helped him down we were almost out when someone blew it. "Heya you guys aren't gonna leave me are ya eh?" "Dammit we were so close" I shivered and looked behind me at a terrified Ezekiel and an angry Chef. I didn't know what to do I was frozen in fear, luckily Noah could move. "Come on Cody let's go!!" I stayed still, "ugh fine, I'll just have to carry you" he said. Noah wrapped his arms around my shoulders, and then lifted my legs and ran. We dodged some paintballs from Chef but we made it out. Noah kept running, he ran all the way to into the woods, farther than I've ever been before. Finally he stopped and put me down. "Wow" he exclaimed, "you're so light". I laughed. "Gee thanks, you're pretty small yourself stringbean". We both laughed. Noah took off his sweater vest leaving only 2 shirts on him and laid down, stretching out onto the grass. I laid down next to him and he said, "Thank you". "I think I should be thanking you, I mean, you did carry me through the woods." We laughed and both of us stayed there on the forest floor, unmoving. After a few minutes Noah broke the silence. "Hey Cody?" "Yeah?" I looked over at him his dark long hair lying perfectly. "Are we friends?"he blinked at me, "well duh!" He smiled, I smiled back. "Yeah, we're definitely friends Codemeister."
