Chapter 3: Her

Noah's POV
When I woke up Cody had already left the cabin, and I wish I had. Owen was stripping right in front of my bed. We were all guys here but it's not like I want to wake up to that. "Eh Owen could you move please?" He looked over at me noticing that I was awake. "Oh sorry Noah! Hehe" he moved over, and I got up to get dressed, once I was dressed I went to leave the cabin, but something big blocked me. "Ugh Owen you're in my way again!" He smirked at me, but I couldn't tell what he was thinking. "Sorry Noah but I wanted to talk to you about something." I rolled my eyes at him, "Go ahead then." "I saw you." I blinked at him, "what do you mean?" "I saw you with Cody." I blushed nothing happened but we were up late together plus I carried him into the cabin last night, but I could've sworn Owen was asleep. "So?" He smiled more, "Why were carrying him hmm?" I tried to act as causal as possible, "He twisted his ankle on the steps so he needed help." I could tell he didn't believe me, but I didn't know what else to say so I stood there looking stupid, until finally he gave up and let me out of the cabin. I stretched out in the sunlight, looked to make sure the coast was clear, you never know when Izzy might attack. I walked over to the doc and sat down. Suddenly I was splashed, "Heya Bro!" I got up and tried to shake myself dry, "hello Geoff, enjoying your swim?" I was being extreme sarcastic but apparently the party guy couldn't figure that out. "Yeah man the water's great!" I rolled my eyes and got up to leave when I was quickly knocked down. "Uck watch your going." I've spent so much time just me and Cody that I keep forgetting that there's other people on this island too. "Hey Heather sorry, but you ran into me." She frowned her usually "I want to kill you" frown, "Uck whatever, Lindsey! Beth! Get over here!" She walked away chatting quickly with them, probably planning a way to get me booted off the island.
I walked quickly over to the dining hall for breakfast. I walk in and see Cody talking to Tyler and DJ. "-and then the ch-chickens attacked me! It was terrible!" "Woah man that's- oh hey Noah!" Tyler had been telling a story and as soon as I walked in Cody looked right at me and got the biggest gap-toothed smile. "Hey Codemeister." I just stood there, both of us staring at the other. Until the silence was broken. "You gonna come get your food or not boy!?" Cody chuckled, I glared at him but in a nice way. Chef gave me my food, I looked at and winced but didn't say anything that would upset him. "Enjoy he he." "Gee thanks." I walked back to the tables and sat across from Cody. We didn't talk, but I could feel him still smiling at me. I tried to smile too but I can only smile so much, I'm not a very happy person sometimes, but Cody made me feel happier. After awhile everyone left the dining hall so it was just me, and Cody. "So uh hey Noah wanna go for a walk or something?" I thought for a moment of course I was going to say yes but I was curious as to how he felt about me. I know that I was for sure starting to feel something for him. "Damn", I thought, "Izzy was right." "Um yeah sure why not." I tried to sound nice and not sarcastic, but I think Cody would understand either way. "Cool let's go then." It seemed he was in a bit of a rush. I couldn't tell why so I just went with it. We walked out of the dining hall, and Cody started waking even faster. Soon we were running through the woods, "For such  a small guy you sure can run haha." He didn't respond, I frowned. "What could be so important that we are running through the woods at 60 mph??" That's when we finally stopped, I looked around and figured out why we were out here, Gwen. He smiled and had me hide behind a tree then we stepped out into the clearing that she was waiting in to talk to her.

Cody's POV
I walked in the clearing where I told Gwen to meet me having Noah hide behind a tree, he was kind of like my secret moral support. He'll understand later. "Ok what was so important that u had to walk through the woods, alone!" I walked up to her, or at least 10 feet away I know she likes her space. "Hey uh Gwen, um how is your day?" She frowned at me I could tell she was a bit upset. "How is my day? Hm lets see someone gave me a letter telling me to meet them in the woods, I get here and nobody's around. Do you know how many times I heard bear noises!?" The way she talked gave me goosebumps, "Please, bears are totally harmless! If I got attacked by a bear in sure I would totally win." "Unless the bear was actually Izzy", I thought. "Ugh whatever, why are we out here?" I had almost forgot about that part, "Well Gwen I uh was wondering if maybe.. You'd like to-to be my... girlfriend?" By the look on her face I could automatically tell it was going to be a no, but she decided to express that a little further. "No Cody! I do not want to go out with you! You know I have a thing for Trent! And also your like an annoying little brother!" Noah had told me that, I guess I should have been more open to his suggestions. I sighed, "Ok.. Don't want to pressure you into anything.."
"Oh don't worry you're not." She turned and walked down the path away from the clearing. I stood there for a few seconds speechless. Then I went to get Noah, he was sitting behind his tree, and his eyes were full of shock. "Weird he knows that I like Gwen." "Uh hey Noah? Are you ok..?" He looked up at me startled, from not knowing I was there. Then he said, "I am now." He looked into my eyes and smiled at me then he spontaneously hugged me. I hugged him back. For it was probably the best hug I have ever gotten. When he finally let go, he just stood there smiling like an idiot, but then something occurred to me. He was my idiot. "What are looking at Noah?" I asked him, "what oh I.." I had this look on my face that meant just tell me. Then he leaned in and kissed my cheek. He pulled back and we were both blushing like crazy. "You aims getting better." We hugged again, and left the woods. On our way back we talked about how secret this had to be. No we weren't like a couple or anything but we were something. Something neither of us wanted other people to know about. "With all of Chris's cameras around, we are going to have to be very discreet. We promised never to talk about this in the confessional or anywhere that we might get caught and if we had to we would just whisper into each other's ears. We were almost back to camp, when Noah stopped, he looked around and suddenly his eyes grew with fear. "Oh no.." I looked at him in astonishment, "what? What's wrong?" He turned to me and said one word that made us break into a run, "Izzy."
