Forgiveness

I wake up next to Josh on the couch instead of the floor, where we originally fell asleep. "Morning baby, how'd you sleep?" Josh asks. "Not well." I said. "Why?" Josh asks. "I couldn't stop thinking about the fact that Cc almost beat the shit out of me. Especially on my birthday, just because I'm with you. He's a grown ass man, and I'm not dating him. Cc needs to get that concept into his head, but he won't." I say. "I couldn't stop thinking about it eaither." Josh says. "At least you got sleep." I say tiredly. "If you want to sleep go ahead baby." Josh says. Everyone comes out of the bunks, and sits on the couch across from me and Josh. "I'm going to warn every body now. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, thanks to Cc, so I'm going to be cranky today." I say. "Whatever." Cc says. "Shut the fuck up Cc. No one asked you." I said. "I don't care. You should have thought abo-" Cc said and I cut him off. "I should have thought about you? No. Get it through your head, I'm not going to date you Cc." I said. "Cc knock it off. You already put Renae through enough hell. She doesn't need it anymore." My dad said. I got up and got a cup of coffee. I say back down next to Josh. "Renae can I talk to you?" Cc asks me. "After the way you treated me? I don't think you deserve it." I say. Cc storms off into the bunk area. I lay my head on Josh's shoulder, and soon tell asleep.

I wake up an hour later on Josh's lap bridal style. "How was your nap?" Josh asks me. "It was great." I say. I stand up and stretch. I walk back to the bunks and Cc is the only one back here. "Can we talk now?" Cc asks. "Sure." I say. "I'm sorry for what I did. I shouldn't have acted like that." Cc says. "No you shouldn't have." I say. "I know. I just got really jealous of you. Can you forgive me?" Cc says. "Yeah. Just don't do it again." I say. "I won't." Cc says. Cc hugs me and I walk out.
