Bombs rained down from the sky, creating craters on the ground. The Nordics were bruised and bloody, having holes in their uniforms and patches of gauze covering any open wounds.

It's been 5 months since they had left home, living on makeshift camps with their troops, or at least what was left of them. "We can't- we can't keep going like t-this." Norway coughed, tears in his eyes.

Finland looks up from reloading one of his many guns. He threw one to Berwald, who caught it with no hesitation. "I wanna g-go home..." Iceland cried to Norway, clutching onto his shirt. "I-I want to see the little ones. I want to see Latvia. For gods sake- I even wanna see England." He said, tears running down his face.

Norway hugged his brother, rubbing circles onto his back. "I know Emil...me too. I wish we could've just stayed home with Aletta. Everything would've been okay. No war. No blood. No fatalities..." He mumbled, everyone nodding.

Norway looked worn out, his hair frazzled and dirt on his face. But so was everyone else. Denmark was in the corner with Sweden, who was patching up a gun shot wound on his shoulder, Denmark hissing every few seconds.

Iceland dried his tears and got off of Norway, Lucas standing up and walking over to Denmark and hugging him, running his fingers through the Dane's hair. Tears ran down Matthias's face as he thought of Aletta. "I wanna talk to her. I just miss her so much..."

Norway sighs and stops with Denmark's hair, calling over Cassy who was sitting in the corner, doing whatever a fairy in war does.

She looks up and flies over to Lukas. "Call Lily please." He pleads, the small fairy nodding and taking out her phone, dialing her fairy friend.

It rings a few times before the other picked up, a squeaky voice coming through the speaker. "Lily? Yeah hai fren is meh. Mhm...mhm....well the boys miss Aletta. Can you get England to FaceTime with us?" She asked, smiling when Lily said yes. "Thanks boo!" She said and hung up, one of the Nordic phones ringing from across the room.

Iceland jumped up, hurting himself a little as he slipped over to the phones. He picked it up and smiled when he saw England.

Emil ran back over to the boys and sat down in the middle, the British man saying hello to everyone. "Where's Aletta???" Denmark yelled, the English man giving his bloody shoulder a stare before answering.

"She's upstairs with Canada. I think." He says before walking upstairs to where they were. "Aletta? Someone wants to talk with you." England says, sitting on Canada's bed, Aletta climbing into his lap.

"Who is it?? Who??" She said excitedly as England have her the phone.

She burst into tears as she saw the men, her smile turning into a frown within seconds. "LUKEYYYY!" She screeched, probably waking up the entire country.

Lukas was, too, in tears. "Hello L-little one." He stuttered, sniffling. "We miss you!" Finland yelled in the background.

"I m-miss you guys so much!" She said, England clutching onto her so she didn't fall onto the floor.

"So how are the idiots treating you?" Sweden said with a smile.

England wiped away the girl's tears. "They're f-fun...America is...well, an American. He makes good doughnuts though. France is a bit of a pedo bear, but what do you expect?" She says with a laugh. "Other then that, everything's fine."

Norway nods, smiling at the girl. "Don't worry. We'll be back before you know it. We lo-"

And then the signal is lost.

"L-Lukey?" Aletta says with tears in her eyes, looking up to England. "W-where'd Lukey go?" She whimpers, Arthur giving her a sad look.

"The signal was probably dropped. Happens a lot. I'm sorry." He says as the little girl cries again, this time with pure sadness, as the blonde nation holds her.

~~~
That's when Aletta wakes with a scream, still in England's arms, sitting on the couch.
"WHAT WHAT WHAT?" England's eyes shoot open to the crying girl in his arms. "Shhhh...it's okay Aletta...can you tell me what's wrong?"
But the girl doesn't talk. She only cries. And somehow England understands.
