Meet The Parents

CATHY'S POV

My phone suddenly rung.

I answered it with half eyes opened. "Who the hell are you? How dare you to wake me up in such ungodly hour? What the heck do you need?"

"Is that how to greet your mother a good morning?"

Shit.

"I'm not sorry." I said.

I heard her sighed on the other line.

"What happened to you, daughter?"

This is your fault too. You did not even fought for me, for Michael and me. You didn't even disagree to them. You too, didn't considered my feelings. This is your fault too.

"What do you need?" I repeated.

"Your father wants to meet your boyfriend."

With that, I got seated on my bed.

"What?!"

"Your father said," she said in a slow tone, for me to understand. "He wants to meet your boyfriend."

Think. Think. Think!

"He's busy. He's reviewing for finals." I said.

I heard her chuckled. "Are you trying to make me laugh? It's summer."

Geez. That was embarrassing.

"Don't make excuses anymore."

"But you'll see him soon. On your birthday, and that will be next week."

"Whatever. Tonight. Seven. We'll be waiting for the two of you."

Then she hung up.

"Ugh!" I said then went back to sleep.

I wore a hanging shirt and a super short shorts. Who cares? This is how I dress.

I wore stilettos.

I put shades on and drove away.

What a life.

I didn't know Kai's phone number, so I will just go into his condo.

I still know its direction.

The thought of his condo brings goose bumps onto my skin.

Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale.

It's just a condo of a guy. Kai's condo, to be exact. What's with the big deal, right?

I reached out my hand to press the doorbell. But I backed out. I did that for three times. Then I successfully pressed it at fourth trial.

After seconds, the door opened.

*slap*

"I-I'm sor-rry." I said then I looked away.

Oh, God. I didn't mean to slap him.

It's just that, he appeared in front of me wearing only towel. What the hell, right?

"I'm sorry." I repeated. "I just got shocked.

Sheesh. Temptation, go away!

I don't want to see that body again! (Really?)

"Uh...wait here. I'll be back." I heard him said.

Moments later, I felt his presence again.

"You can look now." He said.
