"Wake up!" Akira struggles, "Wake up, Wake up!" Her body doesn't flinch, it's eyes are still wide open but it's not responding. Who knew waking them selves from a daydream could be so difficult. She looms over its head and runs around it but nothing is working. The sun is high in the sky and she must get moving before her body over heats in the blinding sun. She blinks furiously and try's to hit herself in the head. It's very hard to be a spirit in this world. Finally, she opens her eyes to see she is back where she belongs. That's what I was looking for. "Next time don't make it so hard" she mumbles to herself. She sets on through forest and plain thinking and mumbling to herself.

She must not need rest for this journey, she must not take long, she must report to the ring in good time. It has already taken her a night to reach as far as she is and lupus knows how long she's got to go. Akira has lived off vole and hares on her travels and is getting extremely thin. Lupus, let me make it through this god for saken walk she thinks. She immediately forgets her thoughts as she stumbles across a frozen river and the forest ends. From there on her struggle would get worse, all she could see was an open tundra full of snow and dead bushes.

Making her way down the embankment, toward the frozen river, Akira could see fish frozen in the ice. She put on pad down onto it...it held firm. The ice slowly turning to tiny sparkling droplets of water underneath her paws. She lapped it up and staggered across the river, like a mewling pup learning to walk. She rises to the top of the embankment and realises how hard her journey will be from then on. The only living thing in here would be a vole and an owl at the most. She looked back at the forest and river. Maybe a quick snack wouldn't hurt she thought, staring at the frozen fish. She loped back down to the river and started pawing at the ice.

With a full stomach and a fish for the trip, Akira began trotting through the tundra. There wasn't much to do with the sightseeing business here, but it seemed to have something interesting about it. Her mind wondered to the dark clouds coming her way, or was she going to them? She started running, mumbling muffled words to herself. The fish hung from her mouth as she held it, she tightened her grip and started to sprint as fast as she could. She stopped. No you don't she pulled herself back into her pelt and walked farther. "Stay" a voice rumbled, Akira jerked her head up in surprise, but saw no wolf. "You are tired" it said simply, "rest." Akira sat and looked around her,
are you in my mind? She asked.
"Of course! Where did you think I was?" It asked,
Well, you could've been anywhere, like...under the snow. She replied weakly.
"The only thing under the snow is voles, and they don't speak to wolves" it explained,
You win...she said and drooped her head.
"Rest young wolf" it said. Akira flopped on the ground and watched the ice slowly melt around her until her eyes went fuzzed...

"come on young one, get up!" The voice shouted in her mind, she twitched her ears, one, two, three times and stirred, bu- I done wanna ge- uhhhh Akira's tired voice slurred.
"Well your just going to have to get uhhhh, aren't you" it said like a mother. Akira's paws struck the ground and she hauled herself up, grabbed the fish and ambled on. Her tired body swayed as she walked and her pads dragged along the ground, her eyes were half open and her tongue hung over the edge of her mouth. What made ya think um young she thought her words still slurred. "You are young compared to me" it said,
great I have old grandpa looking over me, what will you do, tie a tree trunk to my tail and drag me down she asked grumpily. "No" it said simply. "More like "conversation terminated" than just no" she mumbled as sarcastically as a wolf can get.

Akira walked for miles, or what felt like miles, the dark clouds still loomed ahead, menacing and threatening. "What do you think those clouds are?" She asked the voice in her head,
"They may not even be clouds for all I know" it said. She continued walking in silence, staring up at the clouds thoughtfully, what are they she thought to herself and winced at the bright sun shining ahead of her, I don't know! The voice replied annoyingly. As they moved closer, Akira began to see something, like fangs pulling through out of the clouds. But they weren't fangs, it was stone. A massive mountain revealed itself from the mist and stood as high as the wolf eye could see. It's sharp stones jutted out of its surface and made the stone tooth look even more evil.

"The ring" Akira mumbled in wonder staring at the huge structure, "The ring!" She howled, more excitedly. "We made it to the ring!" She yipped, we, she thought. "Thankyou"
"I did nothing" the voice said,
"You did something, we made it together....uhhh..." Akira stuttered.
"Call me Lupus."
