Chapter 20

Kiara
The rest of the day was just a blur. Kiara couldn't remember much from what happened after Aspen returned to his normal self. She had gone and sat out in the forest looking up at the sky thinking about life and what has happened.

Suddenly, she felt a tap on her shoulder and look to her left but didn't see anybody. Then there was a tap on her right shoulder but she didn't see anybody again. She thought for a moment and then there was another tap on her shoulder but instead of looking at her left shoulder she jumped up and pounced to her right tackling a brown colored wolf who yelped out seeming to be scared. As soon as she had the wolf pinned to the ground she saw its face, and she wish she hadn't.

Fawn lay there looking up at Kiara with a smug look on her face.
"A bit nervous are we?" She asked and glared up at Kiara.

Kiara growled in her face determined to get the point across she didn't want to mess with her right now. "Don't you have someone else to go both Fawn," Kiara growled finally freeing Fawn of her tight grip and stepped back a few paw steps.

Fawn rolled her eyes then gave Kiara the most annoying smile because she just enjoyed annoying her.

"That doesn't sound like to much fun to me. Plus, I thought you might like to know that you're the talk of the pack right now. Everyone is talking about your episode with your dad and Aspen, when alpha Kyzer isn't nearby," she said as she flicked her tail impatiently as if she was forced to do this and she had more important things to do instead.

Kiara rolled her eyes. "They can talk all they want, I was just trying to not get my friend killed," She growled pawing at the dirt.

Fawn made a fake pouting face and then took a step forwards. "You mean your boyfriend? Your soul mate? The one you took from me," She growled at Kiara stepping forwards again.

Kiara looked up a her and her eyes lit up with anger as she gave Fawn the death stare. "He is just my friend. Nothing more. Nothing less. Plus he wouldn't accept being your mate if his life depended on it, and no other wolf would either. Your just a useless, petty, runt." Kiara growled almost surprised at her self for saying such things but she didn't give Fawn the satisfaction of knowing that.

Fawn, though, did not try to hide her surprise at all. She quickly shook it off and then snarled at Kiara menacingly. "Say. That. Again. Runt," she growled and Kiara almost second guessed fighting her but she finally felt like getting even with this wolf and no one was here to stop her this time.

"Useless, petty, runt," Kiara smirked and then quickly dodged as Fawn pounced forwards with a Yelp.

Kiara quickly spun around and pounced on Fawn growling ferociously as she clawed at her back. Before she could do anything Fawn rolled over and crushed her beneath her. Kiara let out a Yelp as she threw Fawn off of her.

Suddenly another female wolf appeared behind Kiara just as she got up and was about to pounce on her again. Fawns friends appeared at her side growling as they helped her up.

The female wolf walked in between the two. "What are you guys doing??!! You better quit it before the alpha finds out about this," the female growled. Fawn snarled and looked at Kiara.

"This isn't over weakling," she said before turning and running off after the female jumped forwards and nipped her.

When the wolf turned and faced Kiara she recognized her as Sasha immediately. She sighed and sat down.

"I'm sorry Sasha, I was just so mad at her. She is really annoying you know," Kiara said with an edge to her voice.

Sasha shook her head. "She annoys everyone, but don't worry we have all tried to have our go at her. Just don't tell your dad," she said reassuringly as she looked at Kiara curiously.

Kiara stood up and shook off and sniffed the air. "Sasha I'll cya later..," and with that she ran off through the forest just barely able to hear Sasha tell for her to stop. She continued to run for a while before stopping and sitting down beside a tree. She lied down and sighed thinking about Fawn, Aspen, what all has happened. Then she slowly closed her eyes and fell asleep under the tree as the wind calmly swept across her fur.

Kiara woke up dazed, and confused. She looked around, back at the village. But something was off. It was quiet and there was no other wolf in sight. She shivered as the cold wind splashed down on her like a bucket of water was just dumped on her.

Suddenly there was yelling in the distance. Then all around her humans, with torches. They all had spears or torches or some sort of evil looking item. Kiara backed up before she backed into something soft. She jumped and turned on her heels to see.. Aspen. He stood growling at her, but he seemed to be looking past her. She looked around and saw wolves from her pack growling at her former human family. She walked past Aspen who didn't even seem to notice her, and stopped frozen in her tracks when she saw what was in the circle of wolves. Her eyes widened and she almost forgot to breath for a moment. Shaking her head, she backed up almost falling over.

What she saw.. Was her own body. Lying dead on the ground. Lifeless and not moving. Suddenly the wolves charged around her and the humans went towards them. They began to fight as blood was spilled and howls and shrieks came seconds after. Wolves and humans were being killed left and right. She looked around and saw Aspen fighting a human, growling and dodging his kicks and stabs. Aspen, suddenly, took one wrong step. The humans blade went right into his chest and Aspen chocked out and fell to the ground. Kiara howled and screamed for this to stop but not a sound came out. Everything started to spin and become black like a dark whirlpool. Then, it was gone.
