23: A year without Fionna

Marshall POV

"Marshy come here!" Ashley called. Today was the day I would finally leave this hell hole. You all are probably asking why I didn't escape earlier. I mean THE Vampire King trapped? I know right. But that witch is smart she put a spell on her place, which stops me from leaving. But I came up with a plan.

I went downstairs to see what that witch wanted.

"Marshy someone came to visit you." Ugh I hate when she calls me that. Usually I would say something but I can't mess this up.

"Hey." it was one of Ashley's 'friends'.

"Hey, Melody. Come in. I have to go get some things so can you please keep an eye on Marshall? And YOU..." Ashley said pointing at me. "Don't do anything stupid."

Ashley finally left.

"So you brought the stuff?" I asked Melody impatient.

"Yes! Here you go?"

She passed me a little bottle with yellow-green liquid in it.

"Finally I can get rid of that witch!"

"You really think killing her is the only way?" Melody asked.

"Yes! That witch is gonna pay for what she did! Now...help me make the potion."

"Um...Ok...sure."

You probably wanna know who Melody is. She is a Werewolf. I knew her when I was about 12 years old. She was my best friend. We did a lot of things together but my mom hated her mom so you can figure what happened next. They prevented us from seeing each other. This one of the reasons I left my mom. Melody started visiting Ashley 3 months ago. She came at least once a week after that. I told her everything Ashley did. After she heard my story she hated Ashley. Melody wanted to help me get rid of her but it's not that easy. You can't kill a witch by just choking her or stabbing her with a knife. You either have to burn her or poison her with a special type of potion. But burning her wasn't the best idea.

Whenever Ashley left the house me and Melody would try to come up with a plan together. We came up with this plan 3 weeks ago but there is a special ingredient we needed, which she brought today. It was blood from a dragon. Dragons are very rare so that's the reason it took so long to get it.

We were done. The potion was ready. I told Melody to make some lemonade. I put a tablespoon of the potion in one of the cups and when Ashley would return Melody would give her the drink. I told her I'm going upstairs because if I stay down there she might suspect something.

Ashley came back about half an hour later. I heard them talking and then Melody said...

"Here I made this. Try some."

"Thanks, Melody."

I got up and quietly went downstairs. I saw Ashley drinking. I was satisfied and went towards her. Ashley was coughing now.

"Like the drink?" I asked her.

"What did you do?"

"Oh I must accidentally put the potion in there that will kill you." I said with smirk.

"Marshall you..." she couldn't finish her sentence. She started choking and she slowly started dissolving. Until she turned into dust and disappeared.

"Finally."

I stepped outside for the first in a year. Usually a person would now say finally I'm free. But I didn't care I just cared about seeing my bunny again. I saw Melody standing behind me.

"Thank you, Melody."

"No problem, Marsh. Your my bro."

"Hey!"

"What?"

"How about you come to Aaa with me?"

"That would be awesome!" She jumped up and down in excitement.

"You're such a kid sometimes."

"Says the right person."

"Whatever."

I opened a portal and we both stepped in...
