Chapter 24 : I Love Nate!

Waking up Wednesday morning was like waking up in a dream, I had a feeling at the bottom of my stomach that today would be good, Today is going to be a good day.

I turned over to see Lisa smiling at me and Felicity was perched on the end of the bed, watching me. I knew what they were doing instantly.

"He kissed me" I screeched, all three of us jumped onto the bed and started to scream

"Nate kissed You!" Felicity yelled and Lisa nodded

"I saw it" She laughed "It was really intense, I thought they were going to rip each others clothes off"

"We were not" I spoke, holding a smile but defeated when it appeared instantaneously

"Ahhhh relationship goals" Felicity yelled

I stopped jumping and looked at her "Yeah what happened with you and that guy?" I questioned

"Yeah" Lisa agreed, we sat down in sync waiting Felicity's reply

"His name is Drake" she smiled "I think I'm in love"

"Boooo" I chuckled "I'm the only one allowed to be-" I stopped myself at the face that Lisa and Felicity pulled

"You what?" Lisa spoke dumbfounded

"I-I" I stuttered

"You- you" Felicity repeated

I love Nate. I am actually in love with Nate but why am I so terrified to say it. I am a pretty, confident woman and I can tell my friends that I love a guy but she isn't just a guy. What if he doesn't love me back? I'll be heart broken! Not like one of those cliche broken heart girls who cries, eating ice cream and watching the note book. I'll be the girl who stared at the wall with puffy eyes and dried tears on my cheeks.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes before saying "I love Nate"

"You what?" I heard a male voice say

I opened my eyes to see a confused and shocked Jared, Chris and Carl. I was only supposed to tell my best friends but now I'm telling my favourite gay couple and my best friends boyfriend. What a day this is going to be.

"I love Nate" I repeated more confidently "I love Nate" I yelled

"Yes you do" Lisa smiled

"I'm glad you finally worked it out" Carl smirked sitting on my bed

"Wait! The thing you've all been hiding from me is that I love Nate?" I asked

"You've got it chickpea" Carl chuckled

"How long?" I asked, almost demanding the truth

"About a week and a half" Lisa spoke

"I only realised last night" Felicity commented "When you both were dancing"

So I've loved Nate for longer than I thought it just took me more time to realise than it did for other people. I know I love Nate but if I love him it's going to hurt more if he dies, it would have hurt originally because I know him as a person but now he owns my heart in the most cliché way possible minus the part that Death sort of set us up, and anyone I'm destine to fall in love with is supposed to kill themselves but except from that.

"Does Nate know?" I questioned feeling a ache in my chest, and my breathing becoming very hard

"No, only you and Nate didn't know" Jared answered brushing his hair in the mirror

"Everyone else knew?" I asked confused looking around the oddly shaped circle of my friends

"Yeah" They all said in sync

"So that bitch Kelsey knew I loved him and still kissed him" I growled

"Yeah so we are going to make her pay" Lisa smiled

"What are you planning?" I asked nervously

"What time is it?" Lisa asked Chris

"10:30, Why?" He asked just as confused as the rest of us

"Just on time" Lisa spoke before starting to walk to the door and opening it.

We all followed her to find that other people were in the corridor watching something. It was one of the teachers and Mrs Goodie. Kelsey was there with a face like a slapped arse and is Mrs Goodie holding a bag of weed.

"Someone may have tipped a teacher that Kelsey had weed" Lisa smiled vindictively

"You are amazing" I laughed watching Kelsey be escorted to the lobby with her bags following her shortly

Kelsey was getting sent home and was being suspended and banned from the prom. I know how much she wanted to be Prom Queen but served her right kissing a woman's man who doesn't know he has a woman but she knew how I felt about him so its Karma bitch.

Once we all returned to the room, we all decided to devise a plan to tell Nate how I feel which was going to be harder than expected due to the fact that I will end up stuttering. The only person I've told that I love them are my parents and little sister and that is a bit of a problem- speaking of the parents.

Incoming call- Mom

'Hello'
'Hello sweetie, how's the trip?"
"Unexpected"
"You'd better be using protection'
'OMG Dad, I thought I was speaking to mom'
'Sorry'
'Mom you know what is happening in 6 days right?'
'Yes, Lets hope you complete the task'
'Yeah, Might be a bit complicated'
'Why?'
'I may have fallen in love with the project'
'OMG!'
'Mom did you just abbreviate?'
'I can't help it, finish the task and bring him home- Him who?'
'Bye Dad'

End call

I looked up at Lisa who's face was a canvas, before the paint makes it look beautiful. I think she is surprised I told my mom but, at the end of the day my mum doesn't have to imagine what I am going through but she actually knows. She could advise me and if she says that I need to save him first then I'll save him.

"I need to save him" I muttered looking at my feet

"I know and we will and it best not be the last breath you take" she laughed

The burning started again, I clenched my wrist trying to keep my scream on my inside. I looked at my wrist and this time it wasn't the number changing because it was already down on number '6', now there was a note. It read 'I hope you save him kiddo. You two are the truest love I've seen yet- Death'.

Lisa looked at me and smiled, now she thinks that Nate loves me as well which is impossible. All he did was kiss me, it was to probably just to get me out of his system of some sorts. Right?
