When you wake up in the black lake, surrounded by red, what do you do? I don't know about you but I'm a terrible swimmer so I fell asleep instead. I realize my mistake now but then I never would have met him. So for the time being you can stop wondering who I'm talking about and I'll allow you to reminisce in how I'm the most stupid Ravenclaw in the history of my house. I'm sure even Rowena is raising her brow at me right at that moment.
Luckily there is a small but handy window somewhere in the common room of a certain someone. That someone also happened to be gazing into the middle of the lake, as boys with boredom do. It was somewhat a coincidence of what he saw:
The pale face and dark floating hair of a young girl. Her robes danced with elegance and grace through the water.
He stared for a moment wondering if this pale girl was a figure of his imagination, something he had made up to amuse himself. Only the problem was that there was nothing amusing about a dying girl in the middle of fourth lesson. After a minute or so when he had finally finished staring at her pale lifeless lips, he ran outside as fast as he could in the direction of the black lake.
As I slept I dreamt of a library. It was perfect, with hard back books and faded colours. I laughed at myself. I was dripping wet with blood in a huge library, something that belonged to a film I once watched, and I couldn't care less about the handle sized hole in my heart. When I felt my heart shatter previously, that was only of the metaphorical kind. This hole however was quite in the literal sense. Curiously I stuck my index finger in that hole. It went straight though and the poked at one of the chambers. At least it didn't go all the way through I thought. I looked around the room for no particular reason, perhaps searching for the missing piece that once filled the hole. Instead, I was lead to a brown box, about half the size of a book. I had no time to study it because the room was quickly darkening. I grabbed it and placed it deep within my robes pocket.
Next thing I was in somebody's bed, the covers pulled over me and I was in a clean (baggy) set of Slytherin robes. "I need to stay away from that lake or these awkward situations will keep happening." I mutter to myself getting up. My eyes go into focus and I see a boy with dark shaggy hair, green eyes sitting on a green chair with a silver trim. "What am I doing here?" I asked him but he replied by smirking as I had just told a joke. "You tell me your the Ravenclaw." He replied waiting for me to give an answer. He obviously wasn't expecting the one he got because he looked alarmed when I asked him what happened to my Ravenclaw robes and who had changed them to these. Yes, the smirk had defenately disappeared. "They where wet." He simply said then looked away. I couldn't make out the look on his face but by the time he looked back it had returned to it's original smirk. "You should go back to your own common room. People will start to think you've swapped houses. I was about to tell him that it wasn't possible to swap houses when he raised his eyebrows at me. I huffed and got out of the bed. He led me through to the common room but luckily it was empty. "Do you know the way?" He asked and as I shook my head he smirked. "Thought not." With that he led me out into the dungeons and kicked a brick on the wall. It shifted to reveal a passage way. He held his arm out, queuing me to go first. I did, and followed the stairs up and up and up. I stopped a few times to check he was still there. I was greeted with the usual smirk and this: "Still don't trust me Ravenclaw girl?" I blushed and didn't turn around until we reached the top of the staircase. "What now?" I ask and he pushes through the tapestry that I mistook for a wall. It leads us at to the bottom of the tallest tower. I walk up and wait. "What are you doing?" He asked and I shushed him. The door finally asked me a question. " ----------" I think for a second and then reply. "---------" Slytherin boy smirks at me and I roll my eyes and go upstairs. To my surprise he follows me. When he get up into the common room he says - as you can guess, smirking as usual "So this is where the geeks hang out when the library is shut." I frown at him and he shrugs his shoulders and folds his arms. I start to make my way up to the girls dorm when I hear footsteps behind me. I give him a questioning look but he just smirks and continues to follow me.
I flop onto my bed, not caring where Slytherin boy was and fell asleep.
