Mr. Pescot said to Jamie, "You may now take an empty seat."

I was happy to see that most of the available seats were near me. But I didn't have to worry because she made a line back straight for me.

Andy looked at me curiously. I guess that means he had noticed our connection. I mean that we recognized each other. How would we tell people we knew each other "I was running away from my abusive ex boyfriend that happens to go to this school. Then I knocked her over."

"Hey," Jamie whispered as she sat down in front of me.

Her face was still red from the first day emberassment  but she was calming down. Up this close I noticed she had a small patch of freckles right below her eyes. They were cute with her blonde hair made me think she came from some little farm in Kentucky.

I pulled out of my thoughts and said, "Well hey. You didn't tell me you were coming to this school."

"You didn't ask. Did you ever find your dog?" She asked laughing.

I raised an eyebrow, confused and then I remembered what I had told her that day and answered, "Oh yeah he was home after all."

I heard a clearing of the throat and saw that Andy was staring at the exchange with confusion. Jamie looked over at him like she was just now seeing him. Her eyes lit up a little at meeting someone new or maybe because she thought he was cute?

"Jamie this is my friend Andy. Andy this is Jamie," I said introducing them as politely as I could.  A small part of me hoped she wouldn't like him you know like that. That would make things awkward.

He smiled and said, "Well hello. But how do you guys know each other? Or how did you meet?"

He eyed me with a really lost look. I understood why though, for the last year I've never really met anyone or had other friends. Unless Eli was flirting with them, but then I wasn't actually meeting them.

Outside the house you could smell the alcohol and sex. Poor house it was quite large and was probably owned by a nice family. Eli grabbed my hand and pulled me towards it anyway. I don't know why we come to these things anyway though. I hated them, because when he drank he got mean. Well sometimes he got nicer but that was on very special occasions.

We walked into the party and this small black haired chick came bouncing up to us. Eli had an arm around my waist protectively. She was in barely in any clothes and her boobs bounced as she walked. I kind of wondered if one would come up and smack her in the face.

"Hey," She said with a fake innocent smile. She was a little whore and he seemed to be soaking it up. What the heck!?

He leaned over and asked kind of seductively, "What's your name?"

She looked over at me with a smirk that read "oh yeah bitch this happening". I refused to look back though I wouldn't go down to her level. And if she meant him letting me go for a while by myself oh well.

As soon as I had the thought he looked back at me realizing I was there.

He straightened up and said, "Not that matters anyway because I have a girlfriend."

I rolled my eyes and he squeezed my hand so hard it hurt. I looked up at him with a little bit of tears. So it wasn't that bad but it still hurt a little.

He leaned down to kiss me and-------

"Izzy!" I heard Andy say pulling me out of my memory.

I shook myself a little and said, "What?" Then I realized Jamie was here. She was staring at me with a scared look on her face. Oh no! Had I started crying or something?
