I entered the crowded hallway of my school intending to avoid every one. I quickly approached my locker and took out my books.
I could feel the stinging pain in my hands, but I ignored it. I turned around swiftly, dead set on getting to class, when I hit something hard and collapsed on the floor.
“fuck", I muttered annoyed.
I quickly got up and got my books, not paying attention to the person I bumped into.
I stood up and realized that I had bumped into Keval. Ah fuck.
“I'm so sorry.", he said.
“it's okay.", I replied, before moving around him to walk away.
It wasn't easy however, because he yanked my hand, where the cuts were.
“ahhhh!", I screamed in pain.
He quickly let go before giving me a puzzled look.
“sorry,"
I looked down at my white hoodie and I could see the sections that covered my wounded hand, slowly get red with blood. My blood.
I started to panic as soon as I came to that realization. The only person who knew that I cut my self was Crissy and of course, Tyler.
“what's that?", he asked.
“what's what?", I asked playing dumb.
He rolled his eyes.“on your sweater, Einstein."
Before I knew it, he was about to grab the sleeves of my sweater. I quickly jumped back and crashed into a wall behind me.
To my surprise, both me and the wall fell to the ground. I've been against walls before and never in my life have I felt a muscular wall.
Wait, what?
“ow. Get the fuck up.", I heard the wall groan.
I hurriedly got up and turned to look who I bumped into. I quickly turned around and saw Xavier getting up off the floor.
“hey, your not a wall", I whined disappointingly
“yea. Whatever.", I grumbled.
“so, Ri. Want to hang out after school?"
“sure. How about we start now? Let's go.", I hurriedly said to Xavier.
“you're not going anywhere.", I heard Keval snapped angrily.
“why?", I asked with a confused
“because we're not done talking.", he answered
“we have nothing to talk about", I said with finality before storming off.
I quickly made my way out of the school, not feeling like going to classes, with Xavier trailing behind.
I made my way to my car and got in with Xavier following suit. No one said a word and I just started to drive around aimlessly.
“so you and Keval huh?", Xavier finally spoke after the deafening silence.
“what do you mean?", I Asked with a confused frown.
“are you two a thing or something?", he elaborated.
“I'll go with something."
“Paris.", he groaned.
“Xavier.", I answered.
“seriously though, are you two dating?"
“no! Are you drunk on stupid?", I exclaimed.
He rolled his eyes.“I'm just asking. Okay? Because you clearly like him."
“no I don't, dufus. Why do you care so much anyway?"
“because he's bad news."
“and you aren't?", I asked annoyed.
“what do you mean?"
“just drop it."
“look, I'm just saying, just because your a powerful cold hearted gang leader it doesn't mean your not human. You're still a sixteen year old girl and wether you like it or not, you will get hurt. Again."
I didn't answer him. I couldn't answer him. He was right. Every time I get close to someone, I always get hurt. But that wasn't why I didn't answer. I couldn't answer because I was hit with the ugly truth.
I like Keval Terrace and I was in deep shit.
