Keval's Pov
I've been trying to contact Paris for a long time and her phone has been going straight to voicemail. I wasn't sure if I should be worried or pissed. My heart ached at the possibility that she might be avoiding me.
We've just gotten really and even though every time I'm scared of the way she makes me feel, I just can't stay away from her.
I've kept reminding myself that it's because of the mission but I couldn't lie to myself. She was on my mind every minute of the day. She was everything I've wanted. Just like me, she had secrets. Only difference was, I knew hers and she didn't know mine.
I loved her. I love her. I love Paris Carter.
I loved the girl that I was sent to spy on. I'm falling for the girl who my step dad is dead set on taking down. And I, Keval Terrace, is screwed.
Paris's Pov
“Chad, why don't you be a good boy and talk?" Ann sighed.
I stood at one side of the room, out of breath with the chains in my hand that I've been hitting Chad with for the pass twenty.
Chad looked up at Ann with puffy eyes and spat at her, which instantly made her back hand him. I walked slowly towards Chad and he turned his head and looked at me with distaste.
“Chad, I'm not fucking with you! What did you tell the Spartans? I ain't gonna ask yo ugly ass again," I glared.
“ I'm not scared of you, bitch," he tried to smile but it came out as a grimace.
“but you will be, Chad. You will be," I laughed coldly. It even sent a chill down my spine.
As I was about to take up my spiral knife, his words made me stop dead in my tracks.
“there's a price on your head, you know," he laughed weakly.
“is that so? That's nothing new, Chad," I smirked.
Actually, it was something new. After my dad died, I was trained to be in charge of the gang but when I took over, not a lot of people knew.
“I know, but this time, they are gonna kill you. A lot of people want to take over, Paris," he shook his head.
“is that why you betrayed me then? Because you wanted in?" I smiled coldly while walking backwards towards the table that held all the weapons.
“no. I just did because I didn't think a little girl like you would've found out,"
I took up a knife off the table and began playing with the blade. Chad's eyes widened as if he knew what I was about to do. I looked at him and smiled sweetly and stalked slowly toward him.
“ I think you're forgetting that this little girl has ten trap houses in Atlanta, Nine in California and don't forget I do a little dabbling in the Caribbean. Also, I have ties to the Russian Mafia," I smirked.
“I'm gonna ask you one more time. What did you tell the Spartans?" I continued.
“it's not the Spartans that you should worry about, it's the people closest to you,"
“what's that supposed to mean?" Ann asked.
“ I'm not saying anything else so just kill me,"
“as you wish,"
With that, I put a bullet right between his eyes and walked out.
The war has just begun.....
