Dylan's POV
"We're going to be late to the meeting!" I yelled from the living room.
Today was the day the United Forces would arrive in New York.
We needed to be there because they were going to help us bring down the Chief, but before we could get to the harbor, we had to go to a meeting and talk to the UN members about very important issues.
But no matter how important the meeting was, the others were not taking it seriously.
Some didn't wake up early today, people were taking too long getting ready, and others were still sleeping!
I, on the other hand, was sitting all alone on the couch, quietly waiting for them to be ready but as each minute passed, I became more and more impatient.
At least Nathaniel seemed to care. He came into the living room looking for something. He looked like he was in a rush. He looked around me like a kid who just lost his toy.
I thought he was being responsible and mature unlike the others until he asked me.
"Hey Dylan, could you get up so I can see if the TV remote is under you?"
Wow, I couldn't believe this.
"Why do you want to turn the TV on?" I asked him.
"Well, today is the season finale of Mighty Winner and I don't want to miss it. It starts in one minute" he responded while looking around me.
I stood up from the couch and he immediately dove into it.
"Nathaniel! We have a meeting to attend in an hour and you still don't have your pants on" I said while moving my hands around while he had his face buried into the couch with his rear-end facing me.
"FOUND IT!" he exclaimed as he held the remote high above his head.
Then he turned to me with a confused face, "What were you saying?"
"Ugh, never mind" I responded and walked to the bathroom where London was.
These people are not taking things seriously. We are going to be late. Nathaniel is watching TV half naked, Emma and Ethan are nowhere to be seen, Nicolas and Nancy are still sleeping and London is still in the bathroom!
I swear I'm going to pull my hair out if these people continue to be irresponsible.
I just needed someone to at least come with me just in case. It was still not safe for us to go outside alone even if the UN confirmed that the apartment they gave to us was secure.
I thought about London. Maybe she would come with me but I don't think that would be the case because of last night's argument.
As I thought about what I would say, I made my way to the bathroom door and knocked a few times.
"Who?" Asked London from inside.
"It's me, Dylan" I said and waited a few seconds until she opened the door.
"What do you want?" She said after I came in and closed the door right behind me.
She was looking at the mirror and putting on makeup around her cheeks.
Her beautiful skin sparkled with the light of the bathroom and her moist lips became cherry red as she put on her usual lipstick.
"I just wanted to apologize for last night. I know it's been rough between us and the argument we had was not necessary " I said as I looked at her eyes in the mirror.
