                        "August."

"Go away I'm sleeping." I grumbled turning away from the voice, I heard a sigh, and smirked mentally knowing I won, no one can wa-OH GOD THE PERSON WAS GOING TO RAPE ME!

"RAPE! FATHER DEAREST! IM BEING RAPED!." I screamed trying to push away the strong hands.

I heard another impatient sigh as the person set me down on my bed, "August, sometimes I think your an odd child, now get dressed or you'll be late for school." Ricky said with a tired smile, I pouted at my step-dad but nodded and moved to get off my bed, "I'll get dressed as soon as you leave rickster." Ricky rolled his eyes and moved to leave my room, he stopped at the door and smiled again, "I'll be going now, there's money on the counter for your gas." I nodded as he closed my door and left.

I moved towards my closet and grabbed out a pair of washed ripped black skinnys and a band tee-shirt that had 'Chelsea grin' printed on the front.

I was actually going to see them in two months, I was pretty excited since I did have a VIP pass to go in, I was kinda nervous of meeting the band, I knew I'd get shy around them, I usually did that around hot band members, I did That to Kevin from ghost town. Ugh, what an embarrassing moment.

I sighed grabbing my phone and keys before heading down stairs to see Brady and Weston sleeping on the couch lazily, lazy fucks, there so lucky they didn't have to go to school.

I grabbed a snack bar and left off out of the house, I walked over to my mustang that had 500 horse power, it went pretty fast, which is why I loved driving my car, I drove it onto the high way a lot when I had nothing better to do, I sometimes brought Brady with me, I was to scared to bring Weston and risk killing us both, I would hate myself if I even hurt my baby brother. He's everything I wanted in a little brother.

He's sometimes hyper and sometimes calm, he has that goofy child grin every kid gets when they did something bad, his blue eyes glisten with so much mistrief,

I soon make it to school and park my car, getting out, I made sure to lock my doors, some school kids stared at my car in awe, some just shrugged it off and went back to there conversation with there friends, I slinged my bag over my shoulder and started my way off to the school doors.

Only to be knocked down by my best friend Jonah, he wasn't all that smaller than me, he reached the hight of 6'2, only an inch shorter than me, he and his twin sister where my friends, Leah was standing beside him with a grin, they where those kinda hyper twins that liked to mess with people, and yes Leah was a girl, but she acted as if she was one of us, which made her cool.

I will admit, she was disappointed when she found out I was gay, I remember the day I came out, Jonah laughed so hard and I thought he was making fun of me so I got mad, but then way after that, he finally told me what he was laughing about.

                    Flash back (to when
                                    He came out)

"Is it really true?" Jonah asked with an amused smile, I nodded sighing, I had recently came out as gay, I was by my locker as everyone else stared my way, either with disgusted faces or just amused looks, I looked back to Jonah to see him trying to hold in a laugh, anger soon boiled inside me. Was Jonah making fun of my sexuality? If he was I was gonna freak out, he knew better then to piss me off.

Jonah then noticed my expression then gave me a serious look, He sighs and leans against the locker next to me, "I'm not making fun of you for coming out as gay, I'm actually laughing at my sister, dude! She like had a freaking crush on you for years! Oh bro, wait tile she hears about this!"

                         Flash back over

That day ended up in all hell, Jesse found out about it and started picking on me, I wasn't really scared of him, because he wasn't all that popular back then, he was one of us, until he hit grade 10, he became a possessive jerk towards me, he didn't actually hit me, he just used words that where meant to hurt me, but in all honesty, it didn't, I just shrugged them off.

But Jonah didn't like hearing things like that, so of course, being him, he lunged at Jesse and tackled him to the ground.

That didn't end well, Jonah ended up with a detention while Jesse ended up with a weeks detention for harassment, the principle wasn't a homophobe, in fact he was my uncle, toby, he was one of Ricky's best friends, he acted as if I was his own son, he treated me like I wasn't even a student, so sometimes I can get lucky with getting away with skipping and other stuff like that.

He knows why I skip too, he hated Jesse, he hated how much Jesse picked on me and how much he hated me, I still hadn't told him about my cancer, nor have I told him about my beatings, I figured that I had cancer about 3 months ago, I just got over the fact that I didn't have much time to live, I only had about 4 more months.

I really should tell him though, he deserves to know, but not right now, not when he's dealing with school, I'll tell him later next week or so.

When he has the time to talk.

I walk my way over to Jonah and give him a apologetic smile, I felt bad, he stuck up for me and got a detention, I didn't want that, Jonah knew better than to beat up Jesse, he knew what the consequences where if he did it, and he didn't even think twice. He was my best friend and I loved him to death, but I couldn't let anyone get in trouble just for me, that was to much.

Leah soon came to my side as we approached Jonah, Jonah put his arm around my shoulder and winked, "everything's all covered August, and from last week, I didn't even get a thank you, I would like to have you as my own today, Leah get lost." I laughed as Leah pouted and hit her brother on the arm. But I couldn't help but get wild butterflies in my stomach as Jesse stormed out of the office.

He looked back and glared, he didn't glare at me, which was weird, he usually glared at me, even if i didn't beat him, he just more glared at Jonah, who still had his arm around me.

Jonah pretended not to notice and dragged both me and Leah out to the parking lot.

I looked back to see that Jesse has disappeared. Where had he gone? And why was I curious to know why he was glaring at Jonah like that?
