*Beth's POV*

I didn't bother to look up. I just kept my head down, still crying.

"Beth?"

My loud sobs filled the room.

"Beth? Are you okay," Zack asks.

What the fuck? Do I look okay? Damn, Zack. I thought you were smarter than this.

"N-NO! D-DO I LOOK O-OKAY TO YOU," I screamed at him between sobs.

He came over and sat on the floor beside me. He put his arm around me, and I lay my head on his shoulder.

"Beth, tell me what's wrong," he says.

"What isn't wrong? Everyone hates me for some reason. Everything you and Kaylie say is true. All of it. And now, I think I lost my mind and I don't have a clue to where I am."

"Everyone does NOT hate you. Nothing that Kaylie and I said to you is true! And, Beth, you are in the hospital. You passed out on the way here."

Hospital. Hospital. Hospital. Hospital. Hospital. Hospital.

All that I could process right now was the word hospital.

Over and over in my mind. It kept repeating. Bringing back memories.

The last time I was in a hospital was when "it" happened.

I remember it like it was yesterday......

*Memory (still in Beth's POV)*

It was 10 years ago. At the time, I was 6 years old.

My mom, dad, and I were driving home from Olive Garden. We had just eaten dinner. I can still remember what we all had to eat.
I had Fettuccine Alfredo.

My mom had Chicken Parmigiana.

My dad had Shrimp Scampi.

During the car ride home, my mom and I were asleep, which meant my dad was driving. Out of nowhere, a drunk driver came and hit us head-on.

I can still hear the screeching tires.

The screams of my mom and dad still haunt me at night.

I never even realized what was happening.

I woke up in a room with blue walls and lots of lights. I was connected to many tubes and needles.

A nurse came in to talk to me.

"Where am I? Where is mommy and daddy," I asked the nurse.

"You're at the hospital, sweetie. Mommy and daddy took a trip. They won't be back for a while. But, you will eventually see them again," she replied.

I didn't know it then, but this was her way of telling me they were dead.

"You promise?"

"I promise. Right. So let's get you checked out," she said.

She said I had some cuts and bruises, but all in all, I'd be fine.

I still have some scars from that night.

After that, I had to move in with my aunt.
She was pretty nice, most of the time. She never married or had any kids. She was a business woman, so she wasn't home much.
I'm usually alone. I still live with her.

*Memory Over*

*Beth's POV*

The memory of that night flashed through my mind. Everything was coming back to me. My mom's screams. My dad's yells. The screeching tires. The crash as the cars collided. My sobs. Then, quiet. Nothing to be heard. It was as if we all had died in that instant.
