Today is March 28, 2016. Its been 2 weeks since Laura and her parents left the country. I haven't been really going out of the house lately. I miss her already. She hasn't even texted me once. I hope she's doing okay.
Mom asked me to go to the convenience store to buy eggs and hotdogs for dinner.
As I was walking down the street, I felt a hand grabbed my shoulder. It was Tim Wright, a friend of mine who went to the same school with me and Laura.
"Hey buddy, where are you headed?" he asked.
"I'm just going to buy eggs and hotdogs at the convenience store." I replied.
"Oh yeah? I'm going there as well to buy my dad his daily dose of cigarettes. And I'm going to buy myself some ice cream." he said.
Tim's family is very much torn apart. His father found out that his mom had been cheating on him and as a result, his father decided to divorce her. And now his father is taking it out on cigarettes and alcohol. I hate smoking and drinking. It does nothing but ruin lives. But who am I to argue with them right?
We made it to the convenience store while talking about the different girls he dated last school year.
Tim was every girl's dream boy. Except for Laura, he was much too braggy for her to handle.

I began to pick out the eggs and hotdogs while Tim was picking up his father's pack of cigarettes. He was also whining about what flavor of ice cream he should get.
"Arghh! I can't decide! Which flavor should I get? Rocky Road or Double Dutch? It's so hard!" he angrily says.
"Come down Tim. Everybody is staring at you. Just pick them both. Okay?" I replied
"But I don't have enough money! And I can't decide!" he angrily says again.
"I'll lend you some. Let's just go pay for our stuff. Okay?" I replied
"Thanks Toby! You're a life saver!" he happily said.
Tim usually complains about stupid things. We went out of the convenience store and we stopped by the park to catch up with one another. We had an intimate conversation about our lives.
"So how's it going Toby? You and Laura together yet?" he curiously asked.
"Well, kind of." I replied. "I kinda confessed to her about how I felt towards her and I found out she felt the same way about me. And she kissed me before she left for Australia."
"Wow. That's awesome man." he replied. "How long will Laura be gone?"
"She didn't really know herself." I replied. "But I promised her that I'm going to wait for as long as it needs, just to see her again."
Tim began to laugh after I said that.
"Tim? Why are you laughing all of a sudden?" I asked him.
"It's because you have this really amazing thing going Toby." He replied.
"What do you mean by that?"
