Chapter 3.2: Knowing the reasons

"You're like him..."

I said while looking up.

"Who ?"

-Clyde

"My ex bestfriend."

Then a flashback came up to my mind.

*FLASHBACK*

"Hello ! Let's be friends ?" tanong sa akin cute boy.

Ngumiti siya kaya ngumiti rin ako.

Im not cold back then.

"Sure." then he offered his hands. So ayun nag shake hands kami.

"Call me Rain."

He said while smiling brightly.

"And you're ??"

-Rain

"I'm Cyril."

I smiled at him.

"Hello Cy :)"

We're only 7 years old, after that day we became bestfriends.

We're happy living. Happy back then.

I wish... 

I'm still me.

I wish....

I could go back and change everything.

It's raining.

The cold breeze, as my heart gradually became cold.

I was sitting outside, crying in the pouring rain.

Wishing that someone  will arrive and save my heart from being cold.

My dad died.

It also killing me.

I closed my eyes.

Then someone whispered.

"You're sad. Why ?"

I hugged that person.

"He's dead. No. It can't be !! Rain !!!! Noooo !!"

I said while crying.

"Ssshh. He's watching you from afar. Don't cry. He might not be here, but he's always with you."

I cried over and over again. I didn't response onto him. I just hugged him tightly. And say...

"Please promise me. That you wont leave me."

Then, I flashed a faint smile.

"Cy...."

"What ??"

Kalmado kong tugon.

"Sorry."

-Rain

"Why ??"

Kumalas na siya sa yakap at hinawakan ang balikat ko. At tumingin sa akin ng seryoso.

"I want to stay...

But..."

That stopped my world. All people will leave. 

But the saddest part here is, the time that I needed him the most.

"Iiwan mo rin ba 'ko ??"

Silence. Silence filled us.

I left him without giving him a word.

I ran away from him and went inside.

What's the sense of limited happiness ??

If that limited happiness will lead you  to unlimited pain ??

That feeling repeating all over again.

That pain that even you can't remove.

Then suddenly, that pain will change you.

Days had passed.

Inilibing na rin si Dad.

Ni hindi ako nakita ang anino ni Rain.

Tuluyan na siyang nawala.

At sana....

Tuluyan na rin siyang mawala sa alaala ko.

Kasabay ng pag-alis niya ng hindi man lang nagpapaalam.

Weeks had passed.

Then, my mom decided to migrate.

Siya lang.

At ako...

Maiiwan.

Dahil aasikasuhin niya daw ang naiwang business ni dad.

She wanted to move-on that time.

Kaya sarado ang kanyang pag-iisip.

At hindi man lang inisip na maiiwan niya ang anak niya.

Iniwan niya ko kay Lola.

At ayun. Umalis siya.

Umalis siya at hanggang ngayon ay hindi parin nagpapakita.

At sana nga, wag na siya magpakita pa.

Dahil ayoko na. 

Ayoko nang maalala ang lahat.

Lahat-lahat, kahit siya.
