3rd person P.O.V following Aleks:

He looked up at Eddie but looked back at the ground when he sat down next to him.

"What did you do with it?" he asked in a barely audible whisper.

"Got rid of it, there's no point in letting you hurt yourself Aleks, you're my best friend."

Aleks huffed and turned slightly away from the man.

"Look, I'm not leaving here until everything is right, I don't care how long it takes."

He just stayed silent, facing away from his former friend. What was there to fix? His emotions and thoughts were so confused they were practically shattered, like broken glass from a vase, the pieces were too small for anyone to bother gluing them back together.

"Why did you hurt yourself?"

He exhaled; he thought he made it clear by now with his accidental outburst before he decided to leave.

"Isn't it obvious by now?" he snapped, voicing his previous thoughts.

"No, no it isn't. Honestly, I'm confused as fuck," Eddie admitted, the atmosphere was probably too serious for him to giggle at the end of his sentence like usual.

"You ignored me, I got fed up with it, went in depression, cut myself, Seamus came and helped me, we fought, I came here, cut myself again, then feel asleep and here we are," the peeved Russian explained bitterly.

"Look at me, Aleks."

"What?"

"Look. At. Me."

Not wanting to argue over something so stupid at this time, he turned around faced the sight he dreaded to see.

"I know there's something more to this. Please, Aleks, tell me," the Latino pleaded.

He breathed; he knew that he was going to get rejected anyways, so why not confess his love?

"No, I can still just change the topic," Aleks thought, determined.

"What do you mean?" he replied, trying to look as clueless as possible.

"Aleks, don't try to play all innocent, you know very well what I'm talking about," the man next to him stated seriously.

"Man, he isn't joking around," Aleks reflected.

He didn't like this side of his old best friend; he was too severe and lifeless so he decided now it was time to give the man what he wanted; his confession.

He gulped, feeling warm all of a sudden. Even though he knew the feeling wouldn't be mutual, he also feared other things. For example, his sexuality. What if Sly was disgusted by gays, what if he hated them? He'd probably get kicked out and that would lead to all sorts of problems. Second of all, his friendship. Even though he had ended it, he still missed the old times, before he got his stupid crush. After he would reveal his secret, everything between him and his best- ex-best friend would be awkward and strange. They wouldn't be able to play games or joke around or just plain chat, not that they did much of that these days.

Finally, Aleks felt defeated and confused; why does Eddie even care? Why is he even talking to him? Clearly the tanned brunette next to him didn't give a shit if he had been ignoring him all the time, right?

He sighed letting himself be defeated by his confusion, only bad scenarios he didn't want to live played through his mind.

"Why do you care?" he retorted sharply, ticked off by his own ideas, looking at the park in front of him.

"Listen to me. I do care about you; you're the most important person in my life right now. What I did was a mistake and I'm sorry. I regret ignoring you and avoiding you. I hate myself for it. I hate myself for not only hurting you emotionally, but making you hurt hurt yourself physically. Please, Aleks, I need to know. I want you to be happy, not depressed."

"Fine, on one condition."

"And what is that?"

"Promise me... promise me that you won't hate me, no matter what I say."

"I promise."

Aleks turned to face the one next to him and looked directly into his beautiful brown eyes that were filled with anticipation and worry.

"Okay, you asked for it. It all started the night Tiffany and I broke up. I was devastated, as soon as I got home from her house, I ran to my room and started crying."

"I know that already Aleks, why are you telling me this?"

"Do you want to know or what?" the Russian asked, clearly irritated.

Eddie nodded.

"Then shut the fuck up and let me finish!"

"Sorry, continue," the Hispanic man apologized quickly, not wanting to get Aleks even more upset with him than he already was.

"Anyways, after a while, you came up and comforted me, you were my only shoulder to lean on; I wasn't close enough to any of the Creatures to just throw my problems on their shoulders. And after you helped me, I felt strange. I didn't mind the feeling, in fact, I liked it. And after thinking for a few days, I discovered what it was."

He paused and took a deep breath, his gaze still locked onto the other man's eyes, as if trying to search for some sort of hint of how he felt.

"It was love. With who I was in love with, I had no idea at the time. But after thinking non-stop for an hour, I realized who it was. I was completely flabbergasted, for a lot of reasons."

"What reasons?"

"Well, first of all, he was a man, so finding out that I was gay was pretty shocking for a while."

Aleks waited for a reaction and, after a few seconds, Eddie spoke.

"It's fine, Aleks. Haven't you seen my No-No topics? Sexual orientation doesn't bother me."

The pale brunette released a breath he didn't know he was holding. At least the first part hadn't made Eddie hate him and kick him out of the apartment.

"What's the other reason?" Sly asked, cutting through the tension like a knife.

And now for the hard part.
