3rd person P.O.V following Aleks:

We got out of the car and walked into the new restaurant. It was pretty fancy looking place, it was also considerably clean since it opened a few days ago.

They went to the counter and browsed the menu that was written on a black board with different colored chalk as well as the tasty looking pastries inside the counter through the glass.

"Hello and welcome to the new café! Can I get you two anything?"

Aleks looked up to see a fairly young woman with green eyes and brown hair, apparently named Rachel, according to her decorated name tag.

"Hi! Can I get a hot chocolate with a blueberry muffin?"

Aleks looked at his friend, clearly amused by his choice of drinking hot chocolate in the warm weather.

"Oh, and what can this handsome man?" she asked in a seductive tone.

He blushed a light shade of red and looked at his feet, suddenly too shy to order.

He saw Eddie's eyes narrow form the corner of his eye and felt a sudden weight on his shoulder. He glanced to see Sly's arm around him, making his face ten times redder.

"He'll take a latte with extra cream and a slice of chocolate cake."

Aleks was astonished at Eddie's perfect knowledge of what he wanted to eat.

"I'm sorry, I was asking the cute brunette, not you," she informed, venom in her voice and gaze as she studied his friend up and down.

He felt Sly kiss his red cheek lightly as his heart fluttered. He had no idea why he was doing this, but he couldn't care less.

"Is that what you want?" he whispered in his ear loud enough for 'Rachel' to hear.

He nodded vigorously, eager to get some food in his stomach.

"Fine," she groaned.

The waitress served their food and calculated the amount of money it would cost.

"That'll be 16$, sir."

They both took out their wallet at the same time and looked at the other oddly once they realized what they were trying to do.

"I'm paying," Eddie stated.

"Nope, I am."

"I am!"

"I am!"

Realizing this was getting them nowhere, Aleks just started taking his money out but froze when he felt a pair of lips on his neck.

He bit the inside of his cheek, trying to stay strong as he reached for his money again.

"Please," Sly begged in a hushed tone, soft enough so only he could hear, planting another soft kiss on his shoulder blade. "Please."

He bit harder to keep in control but gave up once he realized how uncomfortable the waitress must have been.

"Fine," he muttered defeatedly, his blush still clear on his face.

"Yay!" Eddie cried joyfully, taking his arm off him and paying for their order.

He sighed, hating the feeling of not feeling Sly's arm on him.

He helped the man he loved carry the food to the booth they had decided to sit in. For some reason, the place was empty, besides the employes, of course.

They sat on the opposite sides of one another. Both drinking and eating what they ordered in silence.

Aleks felt his heart thump against his chest as he recalled the recent romantic advancements Eddie had taken. Why had he done that? Was Eddie jealous when the waitress tried to flirt with him or was he just saving him from an uncomfortable situation? Did he do all those things to tell Rachel to fuck off or was it because he wanted to? Did he... like him?

Aleks felt butterflies in his stomach as the blissful thoughts. If Eddie was trying to confess his love to him, he didn't care how he did it, just as long as he did. It would make him the happiest man alive forever and ever, until the day they died.

"So, is it good?" the Hispanic's voice interrupted his thoughts.

"Is what good?" he asked dumbly, just getting out of his trance.

Eddie giggled, "Your food, you dumb!"

"Oh!" he exclaimed in realization. "Yeah, it's very good."

"How many Whoppies out of ten?" Sly questioned curiously, taking a last sip from his now empty cup.

"I don't know, eight and a half, I guess."

"Wow, that's a pretty good score coming from you!"

"Well the food is pretty good so maybe that's the reason why. How about you?"

"I'd say eight and a half is good."

"Wow, you actually agree with me," the Russian said, acting astonished.

"I know, right?"

They both chuckled slightly eating the last bites of food left.

Once they were done, both of them stayed quiet, looking around the restaurant until the man with the spiky black hair got right to the point.

"So, how do you feel about this, Aleks?"

"Who are you, a physiologist?"

"Aleks, I'm being serious."

He huffed, "Fine. But you have to I have to make a few things clear before we start this 'Q and A session'."

"Which are?"

"First, I get to ask you any question I want to ask you too, and you have to answer honestly too. Second, you can't freak out about what I tell you and walk out on me."

"Okay, fair enough. And I'm pretty sure you know I wouldn't do that."

"Yeah, but I'm not taking any chances."

Eddie smiled to reassure him before asking the same question again. "How do you feel?"

"Right now?"

"No, tomorrow. Of course right now."

He sighed, "Frustrated, depressed, hopeful, love-struck, flustered, happy, nervous and confused. I'm pretty much worse than a girl on her period right now."

"Why?"

"God, this is going to be a long explanation. The frustration is towards myself, because I was to much of a wimp to confess sooner, because I blame myself for making Nat brake up with you and because I hate myself for being... well, me, because no one could ever love me."

He took a shaky breath to give himself more the courage to not break down, "Depression because I'm lonely and I've managed to convince myself that no one cares for me and everyone wants me to kill myself."

"Hopeful because I feel like I have a chance now, a chance to be happy with you."

He mentally rolled his eyes, "You don't need an explanation about the love-struck part."

"Flustered 'cause of what happened before, you know, the... arm and kisses and stuff."

He couldn't keep a smile from appearing on his face, "Happy because I'm with you."

"Nervous because I'm scared shitless of your reactions to my answers and the possibility that this conversation ends horribly bad."

"And finally, the confusion. I'm mostly confused about how you feel about me, if I even have a chance."

He prepared himself for any possible reaction, positive or negative, that could come from his best friend. He warily glanced towards the Latino, heart beating wildly against his ribcage.
