Lisa's P.O.V.

I am wondering who the man that's standing across from us is.

"She's just a friend" He said to the man in a flat tone and grab my hand.

"Hi" I wave my hand at the man.

"Hello...I'm Matthew... Gerald's father" The man surprise me by saying.

"Hey.. I'm Lisa"I greet the man again.

Gerald facial expression has change.

I feel like him and his father don't have a normal father and son bond.

"We have to go" Gerald said and grab my hands.

"Before you leave... I want to ask you if you can come over the hou-" The man was saying but Gerald cut him off with his hand.

"I'm busy" He said in a really disrespectful tone.

"You haven't let me tell you the date or hour" His father said with a frown on his face.

"When is it?" He ask with annoyed look

"Sunday as in tomorrow at 6pm" He said

"What the hell do you need me to do at your shitty house" He spits and i can feel my stomach tightening... I don't know what to say or do.

"I'm going to be over there" I say and walk away from his grip.

I tried not eavesdrop but i can hear what the man and Gerald are saying.

Once they are finish with there conversation Gerald walks over to me with an angry look on his face.

"Are you okay" I ask him.

"Yeah I'm fine.. Let's go get popcorn and some drinks" He says and drag me as we walk to snack session.

I see Ethan and a lady that's shorter than Ethan.

I tap G and tell him I'm going to go Talk to Ethan but Ethan already notice me and both him and the lady walk towards us.

The lady looks a little older.

"Hey" Ethan smiles at us.

"Rose?" Gerald ask

"Hey Gerald" The lady smiles up him.

"You guys know each other?" Both of us ask them.

"Yeah.. Ethan.. Gerald is Matthew biological son" The lady said and Ethan is seem throw back by what the lady just told him.

"Gerald this is my son" The lady points at Ethan clearly forgetting my presence.

"Of course" Gerald roll his eyes.

"So that means were bothers" Ethan says with a confused look on his face which gets me confused as well.

"No my father and your mother are dating... That shit don't make us brothers" Gerald raise his voice.

"So i guess our father haven't told you he addopted me since i was 15" Ethan says while raising his eyebrow.

I AM HELLA CONFUSED

"He what?" Gerald voice comes out really loud and he drops the snacks he payed for.

"He adopted me" Ethan says

I watch Gerald... His nodding his head .

"Lisa let's go" Gerald says and drag me out without me being able to say anything.

Once we get out the cool air hits
Me and it eases my nerves.

I don't know why I'm confused.

"Is it okay if i take you back to your dorm... I don't want to be near anyone right now" He says and his voice so hoarse.

I nod

Once we get to the car ... His silent and his knuckles are turning white.

I think his getting ready to break something.

"I'm sorry" Is the word that comes out of my mouth.

I don't know why I'm sorry...

"I don't need no ones sympathy" He spits out venomously.

"I know It's just...I" I don't know what to say.

He looks over at me... His eyes are so dark... And i can see a hint that he is about to cry.

"My father left me at the age of 10 because he was a drug addict...He promise my mom that he'll sent money.. He didn't do none.. All i remember about him was his back when he left us.
Now his recoverd... Has a girlfriend and addopted her son." He say in a very low tone and my heart snaps.

"I.. I'm so sorry"

"I don't need pitty... Now he wants me to come have dinner with his perfect family... In their perfect house" He laughs.

I didn't know i was crying until i felt the warm tears hit my hand.

"Come to find out he addopted some douchbag when the guy was 15" He laughs and shake his head.

My first taught was to defend Ethan but i feel for Gerald.

I'm still silent looking at him.

"I worn the same shoe and pants everyday of every year because my mother wasn't able to afford for us...all she did was work... Work..work..work..She work 95 hours a week...3 different jobs.. Yet the paying was still shitty..." His now laughing... But there is something about his laugh.

He isn't laughing out of humor, i can tell there is something deep about his laughter... I can't quite put fingers on it, My gramdma always told me when you reach to that part of life when everything goes wrong and you dont have no more tears left... Your only option is to laugh and i feel like thats what Gerald is doing.

"But when i was 15... I watch my own mom get shot" He yells and hit the steering wheel.

Oh my God my heart... I feel for him.

"Gerald i am so sorry" I say and grab his hand in mine and move from the passenger seat and sit on his lap.

I'm questioning if i should ask about his mom.

I hug him tighly and closely... We stay in this position until my phone ring from the passenger seat.

"I think you should get it" He nods towards my phone.

"Okay" I wipe my tears away and pick my phone on the chair.

"Mom told me not to tell you... She said she'll tell you herself but your my sister and i think you deserve to know how much of a fucked up our father is" I hear a female voice say thru the Small speaker.

"Nikki?" I ask and look at the caller I.D

"Yeah.. Its me" She laughs

"What are you talking about" I ask her

"Dad... Had an affair..with a 22 year old ... It wasn't just a one time thing...The girl was an employee at kennish tower and he gave her a place to stay..as in pay for her to stay at a condo 20 minutes away from kennish tower"

"What the hell are you talking about" I clearly heard her But i need her to repeat it again.

"That's the reason why mom and dad are having a divorce" She say and sigh

"I..i.. I need to call you back" I say and hang up.

"Please take me to my dorm" I tell Gerald in a demanding tone.

The phone was on speaker... He heard our full conversation.

His quiet as well..

Once we get to the dorms i rush out his car without telling him bye.

I run as fast as i can and get to my dorm.. Happily no one is inside.

My back hits the door and i slide down and cry until my heart feels like it exploding and my eyes feel like It's bleeding.
