Gay for you

"Clint, she is driving me crazy!"

Clinton Barton watched in horror as his best friend Natasha Romanoff pounded her fists on the walls. He had never seen her behave in such a dramatic and wild way. Tears were threatening to spill over the edges of her eyes.

"Why does she always say that!?!?!"

(Y/N) had been working with the Avengers for about 10 months now. She had taken a liking to the red head team member and in return Natasha took a liking to her right back. They became close friends. (Y/N) wasn't an official part of the team, she didn't fight, she did the paperwork parts. And so after a mission she would run and hug the trained assassin, glad her friend made it back safe. Kissing her soft cheek she would laugh and say when the rest of the team stared at her, "I'm only gay for Tasha." Or say to Natasha "I'm gay for you."

The first few times Natasha would laugh along with her and hug her back, but as time went on she realized she had real feelings for the (e/c) eyed woman. So whenever (Y/n) would say that she was the only one she was gay for a cold knife would pierce Natasha's heart. She began spending more and more time with her girl friend, enjoying any extra time she had just being close to the (h/c) haired girl.

Finally after months of being heartbroken anytime her friend would say she was only gay for her Natasha broke down.

"Why doesn't she love me back?!?! Clint?"

"Nat,.. have you even told her of your feelings?"

"Of course not! She's only gay for me!" She spits furiously. "She would never like me back! That's why she says it! To show the relationship would never work out! She would reject me and I would lose her forever!" Natasha leans against the wall and starts sobbing.

Clint leaves the room and makes a call.

"Oh Nat Cat what happened?"

Natasha wakes up with (Y/N) stroking her cheek laying in bed.

"W-what do you mean?" She chokes out, her throat sore for crying. 

"Tasha, it's 3 in the afternoon and you're asleep. And your eyes are all puffy and your voice is all hoarse. Please tell me what is wrong. Remember...", she says smiling, "I'm gay for you."

"Aaaaagh! That's the problem!" Natasha yells sitting up. "Don't you see (Y/N)! I LOVE YOU!!!"

(Y/N) sits there quietly and then takes Natasha's hand. "Nat, I love you too."

"What?"

"I'm sorry for hurting you. I always say I'm gay for you so I could freely kiss your cheeks... Nat... I really am gay, and I've always really liked you, and I was afraid to come out to all of you... and I didn't want to loose you." Tears stung her eyes.

Suddenly Natasha kisses (Y/N). Shocked (Y/N) pulls back then pulls back in. Soon the girls break away.

"Does this mean you will be my girlfriend (Y/N)?"

"YES!"
