"There you are!" Amanda squeals, causing me to break my awkward stare with Harry. I cover up the hurt on my face and smile brightly at her. "Come on! You have to come meet your new friends," she giggles, linking her arm through mine and carrying a red plastic cup in her other hand. I look down as she pulls me back through the sea of sweaty bodies. I laugh to myself. She's barefoot. Already lost her shoes.

I try and stop myself from looking back where I left Harry, but I can't. When I turn around, I wish I'd just let it go because he's not even there anymore. "Here we are," Amanda says. I look at the group. She starts at the beginning of the circle. "That's Kian," she says, pointing to a guy with blond hair. "That's Macy," she continues, pointing to a girl holding hands with Kian. She smiles at me. "There's Zayn and Liam," she finishes, pointing to the last two boys.

"I have no clue where Bo and Bentley are," the girl, Macy, says.

"Well, there's the rest of the group," Mark says, pointing to a group of more people, except this one contains Harry, but no sign of the boy he called Terrance earlier in the kitchen.

"May I speak with you?" I hiss into Amanda's ear.

"Yep!" she chirps. I pull her to the side.

"I thought you said you don't associate with Harry," I say.

"I don't. I mean, he's one of us, but I just stay away from him ever since the falling out that we had," she explains.

"Oh," I gulp.

"You'll be fine," Amanda assures me and pulls me back to her friends. "So guys, this is Emma," Amanda introduces me this time. "You can call her Ems," Amanda says for me. Alright then Amanda. What if I didn't want to be called that? Not that I mind, but show some consideration.

Harry and the rest of the "group" walk over to us. "So is this our newest member?" Harry asks like he's never seen me before in his life.

"Yep," Liam answers.

"I'm Harry," he says and holds his hand out. That little conniving son of a bitch. I stare at his hand and then glare up at him. Don't make a scene, Emma. He's not worth it. He raises his eyebrows at me and I notice he still has his hand out.

"Go on, Emma. He doesn't bite," Zayn chuckles from the couch.

"Yet," a boy with messy hair adds, standing behind Harry. The same messy haired boy from class this morning.

"Don't scare the girl, Louis," another boy with a shaved head says.

"Just having fun, Bo," Louis replies. I reluctantly grab Harry's hand.

"Emma," I smile a very fake smile at him.

Harry winks at me and I shudder. "Come on, you can come sit by Zayn and Liam," Amanda saves me and plops me in between Zayn and Liam.

I can't help but be infuriated with Harry. I mean I know we don't actually know each other know each other, but don't act like you've never spoken to me before. "Here," Bo, I think his name is, says, handing me a cup with a clear liquid in it. "Vodka," he answers my unasked question. I nod at him and take a sip, showing Harry I'm not a goody-goody. Although, I am a goody-goody, now at least. The familiar liquid runs into my mouth. It burns and tastes awful, but what the hell ever. I down the rest of it and kindly ask Bo for another. Harry widens his eyes and raises his eyebrows at me again, but I just smirk and down the next one.

"I say we get to know Emma," Bentley suggests.

"Yeah, let's," Louis throws a smirk right back at me.

"What do you want to know?" I say, finally beginning to relax around these newly discovered friends, since I have a little bit of alcohol in my system. It isn't much, but it's enough to make me relax.
