Adrenaline was shooting through my veins as I realised the inevitable. He's going to die. My heart shattered and I couldn't help but sink to my knees. He entered the room with a towel held to his ear. Mason didn't seem fased at all. There was a source filled with words drifting through the room. It was the end. It's all over.

What's the point, I mean fighting for life. We're just postponing the inevitable, especially in a world like this. This isn't even a world anymore just a bunch of man eating animals roaming around hunting for flesh.

"It's not stable here we're going to have to move now." Peter starts pulling the knife and matches from my bag. He crossed the room toward the cloudy mirror in the corner. I watch in horror as he slices the remainder of his ear, removing it from his head. He then strike the match and clots the blood. "We leave in the morning" How is he so calm????

*PETERS P.O.V.*

I don't know if that while cutting off my ear thing will stop rubber infection but it should at least calm everyone's nerves until I turn. I just need to get them to the country where it's safer. that's all that matters.
