-- Bailey's POV--
I awake the next morning snuggled up next to Scotty. I smile as he slowly opens his eyes looking down at me. "Well good morning beautiful." He said lightly running his hand down my arm and kissing the top of my forehead. Scotty and I haven't actually kissed yet, and that's fine with me. I just don't want to things to move too fast.
I mean, we have only known each other for a day for crying out loud! I smiled up at him and snuggled back into his chest. His smell was intoxicating, and I didn't want it to go away. "Good morning handsome." I said into his chest as he pulled me closer into him and ran his hands through my hair.
"What do you want to do today?" Scotty asked resting his hand lightly on my arm. "Nothing. Let's just lay here." I replied and he grinned. I looked up at him and thought about how lucky I am to have him here with me, but I'm not sure what is happening between us.
There is no doubt I like him and he likes me, but what more can we be? "What're you thinking about?" Scotty asked me. "About you." I replied as he grinned.
"Oh really?" He smirked confidently. I laughed and looked into his eyes. "Scotty.. What is going on here?" I finally asked him as his smirk faded. "What do you mean?" He asked taking my hand in his.
"I mean, we just met yesterday.. And I like you a lot. It's only been a day though, isn't that too fast?" I explained as Scotty thought for a moment.
"Bailey, I like you a lot too. I know this may seem crazy, but let's face it, we aren't normal. And even though we just met yesterday, it feels like we have known each other forever." He said tracing my cheek with his finger.
"That's true.. I mean we aren't normal. But what about everyone else they may think.." Was all I got out as he crashed his lips against mine. I ran my hands through his hair as he slowly pulled away. "I don't care what anyone else thinks." He whispered against my lips. I smiled and pulled his head down to kiss me again. He's right. It doesn't matter what others think, I'm falling for this guy.
--Scotty's POV--
Bailey and I cuddled on the couch for awhile, and then decided to go do something. "Let's go swimming!" Bailey suggested standing up and grabbing my hand. "Alright! I'll go put my trunks on." I replied standing up and walking over to my bag. I watched Bailey disappear into her room and I decided to claim the bathroom.
I closed the door and locked it, and then quickly took off my clothes and slipped my swim trunks on. I pulled out a cutoff shirt, and threw it on.
I couldn't help but wonder what Bailey would look like in her bathing suit, and smiled at the thought. I'm really falling for her. I checked in the mirror to make sure I looked decent, and then went out to the living room to wait for Bailey to come down the stairs. As I waited, my phone vibrated and I saw it was Mike.
"Hey Mike, what's up?" I asked answering it. "Hey Scotty.. What happened last night?" He asked sounding annoyed on the other line. "What do you mean?" I asked furrowing my brows and running my hand through my Puerto Rican curls.
"Don't play dumb Scotty. I need to know, were you or were you not with Bailey last night?!" He asked slightly raising his voice towards the end. I closed my eyes. This wasn't good. "Yeah I was." I answered as Bailey came into the living room and mouthed she was going to make us some food for the pool. I nodded and she headed into the kitchen.
"What were you thinking?! Scotty I need you to come to the bus right now. We need to clear this up with the paparazzi right now. It's all over the web!" Mike yelled and continued, "Scotty you have a huge career, and it's going to get bigger. You can have this girl ruin it!" I could feel the heat rising inside of me. Bailey isn't going to ruin anything.
"This girl, happens to have a name. It's Bailey. And she is not going to ruin ANYTHING." I yelled back standing up and pacing the floor. I know Mike is my manager and wants the best for me, but this is my choice, my decision.
"Scotty you're young. And it's just another girl.. I mean there are millions.." He started and I cut him off. "Not like this one. Bailey is different, and I'm 21 Mike." I snapped back. The line was silent and I sighed.
"Look I'm going to go. I need you to clear some room on the bus for Bailey's things." I said looking at Bailey's pictures on her walls. "You're bringing her on tour with you?! Scotty are you nuts?! You just met this girl!" He replied. I rolled my eyes and then smiled. "Yeah Mike. Ain't it funny how love works?" I answered and then hung up the phone.
--Bailey's POV--
I was in the kitchen making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for our day at the pool, when I overheard Scotty arguing over the phone with Mike.
Apparently he wasn't too happy that Scotty and I were together last night. I also can't believe that he would think I would ruin Scotty's career. I carefully spread peanut butter on the last slice of bread when Scotty walked into the kitchen. He smiled at me and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"You about ready?" he asked as I placed the lid back onto the jar of peanut butter. "Just about. Will you help me fill the cooler?" I asked as he kissed my head.
"Sure thing." He answered walking over the the table where the cooler was, and placing the drinks inside as well as filling it with ice. When I finished the sandwiches, I places them in baggies and set them on top of the layer of ice along with some grapes and pineapple.
"Okay, let's go!" I cheered going over to pick up the cooler. Scotty stopped me, and picked it up. "Thank you." I said smiling at him and then following out to his car. He placed the cooler in the back seat, and then opened my door for me. He is such a gentleman.
I thanked him again, and he slid into the drivers seat. "I invited Easton and Jess." I informed Scotty as he took off down the road. "Okay, sounds like fun!" He replied as I took his hand in mine. He looked over and smiled at me.
When he looked back at the road I sighed, I need to ask him something.. "Scotty?" I said running my thumb over his fingers.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"Do you think I am going to ruin your career?" I asked and I felt him tense up. "You heard me on the phone, didn't ya?" He replied squeezing my hand. I nodded and he pulled over.
"No, I know you won't ruin my career. Mike just doesn't understand." He answered. I smiled and he leaned over and gave me a kiss on the lips. When we pulled away, he looked me in the eyes and asked, "Bailey will you be my girlfriend?"
--Scotty's POV--
I finally asked Bailey what I have been wanting to ask her since we first kissed. I thought her reaction would be a little quicker though, because she just stared at me in shock.
"W-what?" She asked shaking her head and focusing on me again. At this point my throat was dry. "Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked looking her in the eyes.
She smiled and nodded. "Of course I will!" She replied as I leaned over and gave her a kiss. I felt like a load has been taken off my shoulders.
"I'm glad you said yes.." I said taking off down the road again. "I'm sorry for that scare.. I was just surprised that you want to be my boyfriend.." She explained as she flipped on the radio. We listened to a country station, and my mind kept wandering to what she just said.
Doesn't she see how great she truly is? I mean she is probably the nicest and prettiest girl I have ever met. Not to mention smart, and courageous. I'm one lucky guy. Before I knew it, we were pulling into the pool. I parked and then grabbed the cooler out of the back and followed Bailey to the gate.
"Hey Bailey!" Said the guy at the gate smiling and waving. He had short blonde hair, and he had on a shirt that said 'Lifeguard'. I also couldn't help but notice the way he looked at her. It bothered me.
"Hey Jake!" She replied waving and grabbing my hand. "Another day chilling at the pool?" He asked eyeballing me. I smiled and he looked away. "Yep! Jake, this is my boyfriend Scotty." She introduced me as I shook his hand.
"Nice to meet you." I said as he nodded and looked at Bailey. "Okay come on Scotty. Let's get a move on. See ya later Jake!" She responded pulling me into the pool area.
