"So how would you describe your first week in Miami, Camila?" Ally asked.
The five of us were all sitting around the kitchen island. I sat on Lauren's lap, to the right of us was Normani, then Ally across from us, and Dinah to our left.
"Eventful," I laughed. "I couldn't have predicted any of this."
"I agree with you there," Dinah laughed. "But I feel like you've been here longer than a week, that we've been friends for longer than a week."
"I know, my friends back home are kind of jealous." I revealed.
"Oh yeah?" Normani asked.
"Yeah, they hear about these friends I've made, the stuff we've done, the weather, and now this whole Lauren thing." I explained.
"The whole Lauren thing," Lauren repeated.
"Well yeah, they're mad they haven't seen you or anything."
"We should FaceTime with them," Ally proposed.
"I was actually planning on putting some time aside tonight just to check in. They're having a sleepover as well." They all nodded.
We finished our pizza and the entire plate of brownies. After washing the dishes, I excused myself to call my friends.
"Camila!" My best friend Taylor's voice was heard after we connected.
"Hey guys, what's up?" I asked, sitting on the bed.
"Oh you know, having a shit ton of fun without you!" Selena came into the picture.
"Wow, Selena, you're hilarious." I rolled my eyes.
I showed them around the house, making my way to the kitchen.
"Dinah, come say hi," I told her, taking a seat on one of the stools next to her.
I introduced my friends back home to all the girls. Well all of them except Lauren who was no where to be found.
"Where's Lauren?" I asked Ally while Dinah and Normani were discussing their favourite Beyoncé song with my friends. Ally shrugged.
"Lauren!" I called out. "Babe, come meet my friends."
"BABE?" Selena and Taylor's voices were heard through the phone which Dinah handed to me. "When did 'babe' happen?"
"Guys, shut up," I told them and excused myself. I told the girls to tell Lauren I was in my room and to come say hi.
I left my door open and plopped down in the middle of the bed, laying on my stomach.
The girls filled me in on the drama at school that I missed and I was instantly happy I had missed it. I forgot how vicious girls could be considering how carefree my life in Florida has been.
As Selena went on and on about the pros and cons she would be faced with if she got back with her ex, I felt the bed sink and saw Lauren lay down to the right of me.
"Hey you," I smiled at her.
"Mila, she's hot!" Selena said, making Lauren laugh.
"Sel, she can hear you," I shook my head. "Lauren, this is Taylor and Selena," I pointed to the girls.
"Hey guys," Lauren did a cute little wave. "It's about time I finally speak to you, you know, considering Camila lived with me for four days!"
"I'm glad you agree," Taylor spoke up. "We started to think you were made up,"
"We actually thought you were made up the second Camila told us someone showed interest in her." Selena interrupted and Lauren's shocked expression quickly turned into a laugh.
