Levi Jones is your typical emo boy. He's got the hair, the eyeliner, and the dark skinny jeans to prove it. All seems right in his boring little world until Maybelline Powers shows up, a pretty in pink kind of girl who steals his heart.

Levi Jones. A sixteen year old boy who very much considers himself within the 'emo' and 'scene' groups of today's youth. His appearance is very emo cliché. Black, layered hair with fair skin which seems almost sickly when matched with the dyed tones of his hair. Dark eyes that hold a certain sparkle, like an inner flame of hope, that someday something exciting will happen in his boring small town. Top it all with black shirts and dark skinny jeans and you have yourself your typical Levi. Being a boy who enjoys his solitude almost as much as his time with his friends means he isn't very present at his house too much with his family. If you could even call it a family. An absentee father paired with a helicopter mom is what Levi found himself stuck with. This has made him quite the interesting young lad. He doesn't have any siblings, at least not anymore. He did have a baby sister, but unfortunately, she died of Sudden Infant Death syndrome. No explanations to her death, only the end result of a dead baby. He was probably two years old at the time so he didn't remember much of her, all he knew was her death is what caused his parents to split. His father never attempted visitations with his son, although Levi's mother pushed for it. Mark Jones was a very introverted man, who enjoyed keeping to himself. So at the loss of Levi's sister May, Mark slowly sunk within himself until one day he just left. No words. No goodbyes. Just the sound of a slamming door and one less suitcase in the house. This was fourteen years ago, Levi wants to say it doesn't bother him, he's even fooled himself into believing he doesn't care for the man. Yet, he can never stop that empty feeling when he catches himself glancing at the front door, ready to see that bald fool one more time. Elizabeth Jones, or Elizabeth Burrows now after reclaiming her maiden name, responded to May's death in exact opposite fashion. Levi found himself constantly, and literally, at her hip. If she left the house, he went with her. If she had to go into a separate room, she carried him with her. Even bathroom trips, he would be placed on the floor with a bath toy to occupy himself while his mother did her business. Nothing was going to tear her away from her son as she had been so suddenly robbed of her daughter. When Mark left, that was the final straw. She never did have any interest in dating again, she seemed to fret over her son a little too much to have a successful love life. Now it's a fourteen year old bad habit. Levi doesn't mind it, he's too used to her frets and stresses to have ever had it become a bother. His friends don't mind it either. Fact they quite enjoy his mother's company. Long brown hair with Levi's dark eyes had made her the group's Hot Mom. Levi's friends. Interesting young boys they are themselves. A group of five they are total. At the top of the game is Joshua Simmons. Bright blonde hair streaked with bright colours, he finds himself listed under 'pastel goth' type. He even has these big blue eyes which make him appear innocent to anyone who isn't close to him, and he uses them like a weapon to keep out of trouble. His own mother still hasn't found an immunity to this power, so Joshua is rarely punished. He likes to wear white shoes, his shirts and pants will range from black to bright reds but he must always wear white shoes. If those shoes get dirty? He gets a new pair. It's his weird obsession with them that gets him teased by his friends, but he definitely ranks as group leader. Second in command being Levi, the two boys have known each other since kindergarten and nothing so far has torn them apart. They're as brotherly as two friends can possibly be. Then there's Toby Mitchell, eighteen years old and therefore oldest of the boys. He's also the most forward, if he sees a cute girl he tells her, if he thinks Levi's hair looks stupid, he tells him. As he has proven more than once. Toby was kicked out at seventeen, so the boys like using his apartment for smoking weed and drinking beer. It's almost a routine. Toby has natural black hair that he lets wave down around his shoulders, and he's very heavy with the eye liner. He's even got a lip piercing, nose ring, and a pierced eyebrow that seem to add to his intimidating appearance. Having dark hair and standing at a very muscular 6'6 makes Toby a very scary boy. Finally there's the twins, Marcus and Damien Whistler. Originally Marcus and Daniella, but that changed two years ago. Damien still has some of his feminine looks, specifically in the face and body frame, but now he's managed to have his breasts removed and has started hormone therapy, so now once he can afford to pay for at least half of his sex reassignment surgery, his mother and father promised to pay the other half as long as he keeps his grades up. So now Damien busies himself with school and a part-time job at the local butcher, making him a sort of ghost in his friend group as he can hardly ever show up. Marcus Whistler, however, is always ready to have a good time getting high and drunk. A good party animal he is, and he even has the looks for it. Unlike the others Marcus and Damien aren't overly 'emo' they simply dress how they want depending on the day and hang out with the others. With shaggy brown hair and green eyes, the two boys are identical and Marcus always seems to have the easiest time finding a hookup or good drunk make out at a party. Finding himself in a mix of all these different people, Levi's life shouldn't seem boring, however, living in a small town that couldn't even get itself on a decent map would prove you otherwise. He has to make a daily trip into town, making him wake up at five in the morning just to get to school in time for eight o'clock classes. He finds himself getting stuck in a routine. A routine he ever so badly wants to break. Yet, all he can do is hope for a miracle that one day he will get the chance to make his life worth a lot more than weed and booze.
