You were currently hiding in the engineering room. Dr. McCoy had asked to see you for your check up and it made you un easy. You hated seeing the doctor and you weren't going to change now. Scottie knew about your fear and he was the only one who would cover for you. So far you had missed three check ups. You knew that soon enough Dr. McCoy would figure out where you were. Right now you were hiding behind the wall waiting for Dr. McCoy to give up. To your dismay Captain kirk and Dr. McCoy came into engineering. "Scottie." Kirk waved him over and you felt sick. Scottie looked troubled and he walked over to the captain.
"Aye Sir, to what do I owe this visit?" Scottie asked trying to keep his nerves in check. Come on Scottie hold it together! "We know you have (Yourname) here and that she has been hiding here every time Dr. McCoy asks for a check up. We'd like to see her." Scottie cleared his throat. "I'm afraid I don't know what your talking about sir." Kirk and Bones looked like they didn't believe him. Bones stepped forward with a frown. "That's alright Scottie I'm assuming your standing up for her." Bones said walking forward. "Miss (Yourname) if you don't show your self in five seconds I will personally carry you to sick bay over my shoulder. If you refuse to comply after that than I will sedate you." He's bluffing! "You wouldn't dare!" You shrieked. "Try me." You decided to stay stubborn. You saw your escape, an air vent. You crawled towards it. "I'm going to count." Dr. McCoy announced. You were almost to the vent. "One, two." You grabbed the vent "three, four." It wouldn't budge! You shook it slightly. "Five, six." "Bones how long are you counting till?" Kirk asked trying not to smile. You didn't know it but McCoy held up ten fingers. "Seven, eight." McCoy cleared his throat as you finally opened the vent. "Young lady I suggest you come out or your going to cause me to act out."
Bones warned. You took a breath and crawled into the vent. You didn't get very far. Someone grabbed your legs and dragged you out. It was McCoy. "I warned you." He grabbed your arm and swung you over his shoulder. "You bastard! Put me down right this instant!" He tightened his grip on you. He muttered something. You started trying to kick him. "Let me go! You'd better release me or I'll scream!" You shouted." Kirk walked over to you and showed you a hypo. "That's quite enough, (Yourname). Now let Doctor McCoy perform your check up! That's an order!" You instantly shut up and bones sighed. "Hallelujah! The noise has stopped!" He declared. You opened your mouth to yell at him but Kirk showed you the hypo again and you stayed quite. "Bones do you need help taking miss (Yourname) to sick bay?" Bones huffed. "No Jim, sense she's calmed down it should be easy." You glared. Jim nodded. "Alright than I'll stay here with Scottie. I have some things to go over but I'll check on your progress as soon as I'm done here." "Alright Jim see you than."
Bones said as he left. You glared at the floor. "So are you gonna fight still?" You growled. "I'll take that as a yes than." Bones muttered. As he walked through the hallways people gave you strange looks. Mr. Spock appeared out of no where and he walked by Dr. McCoy. "Doctor, might I ask why (Yourname) is in that position?" "Bones is manhandling me!" You commented. "(Yourname) has avoided three check ups she was trying to miss this one as well." Bones added dryly. Mr. Spock fell behind and walked behind you. "That was a very poor choice (Yourname). You had to have guessed that sooner or later that the doctor would find you. Although I don't blame you for your reaction." Spock commented making McCoy mutter under his breath. "Did you say something doctor?" Mr. Spock inquired. "Yeah, I said don't you have a computer to fix considering you both speak the same language." Mr. Spock rose an eyebrow. "It would be better company." Spock commented. McCoy just sighed and continued walking to sick bay. Spock looked at you and you couldn't tell if he was giving you an apologetic look or McCoy. Perhaps it was meant for both of you. He turned and left. Even you knew that Spock and McCoy had a certain line that they didn't cross when arguing.
When one crossed it, they would almost immediately apologize in their own way. Spock would say something later to make it up to McCoy. Their relationship was strange but they were surprisingly close friends. You always thought The captain, Spock, and Doctor were brothers in a way. They couldn't bare the thought of one of them dying. It was heart warming and sometimes annoying. McCoy still had you securely over his shoulder. "Dr. McCoy?" You asked timidly. "Yes? Are ya ready to be civil?" You sighed. God this man was frustrating. "I was trying to ask if you were okay you jerk." You commented rolling your eyes. A moment of silence passed. "I'm fine, don't you worry about me." McCoy answered. " So since we are talking now." McCoy commented. Oh dear, you thought glumly. "Why have you been avoiding sick bay? Do you not like me? Are you afraid you'll find something medically wrong with you? Because, its a common fear to be afraid of the unknown." You sighed cutting McCoy off. "I suffer from latrophobia." McCoy remained silent. "I've been afraid of doctors for a long time."
McCoy set you down gently. "Now you look at me, in my eyes." You did and he placed his arms behind his back. "Do I look scary to you?" You laughed. "Do you really wanna ask that?" Bones held his hands on his hips. "Do you really want to get carried on my shoulder all the way to sickbay?" You gulped. "Point taken, look it's not something I like talking about. I had a traumatic experience a long time ago. It was a horrible experience with doctors, ever since than I can't stand hospitals or doctors." Dr. McCoy looked deep in thought. "Go ahead and go to your quarters, I'll drop by soon." You were confused. "Alright." You did as he said and sat on your bed. Hmm, I wonder what he's up to?" You thought drumming your fingers against your knees. Their was a knock on your door. You cleared your throat. "Come in." It wasn't a surprise that doctor McCoy came in with a duffel bag. "Taking house calls now doctor?" You asked smirking. "No, but your the exception." Bones commented. You rolled your eyes. Bones took out his tools and you stiffened. McCoy sat down in front of you. "I'm going to show you each tool and explain what it does." Bones stated gently. "Alright." You breathed deeply. So after and hour and a half of a slow check up, all bones had left to do was check your heart rate. He scanned you and frowned. "It's a little high, but I understand why." Than he packed everything up. He was about to leave. "Dr. McCoy." "Yes?" He asked turning towards you. You kissed his cheek. "Thanks." You said looking down. He smiled. "I think I'll like house calls now." You blushed. He kept smiling than left you. "Me to." You replied grinning.
