Lexi’s POV
I woke up the next morning and checked the time on my phone, it was 8:43am, I was feeling really nauseas and I got up to go to the bathroom incase I was going to be sick. I decided to have a shower to make me feel better. I got in the shower and I began vomiting and I began to feel light headed. My legs started to feel weak as I fell to the bottom of the shower and blacked out.
Next thing I know Luke, Jai, Gina and Beau were lifting me out of the shower. I ran my hand over my stomach thinking ‘what if something is wrong with the baby’. I saw the look on their faces, it wasn’t good at all. Luke kept asking me if I was okay, but I was to blanket out to react. He carried me into Beau’s room where we had slept and rummaged through my suitcase finding me some clothes, as Gina comforted me on the bed. They had previously wrapped me in a towel to cover my body. Gina held my hand and helped me stand up as Jai and Beau were holding me from behind incase I fainted again. Luke began dressing me, putting on my underwear and then slid a dress over my head. He picked me up in his arms and carried me to the car, sitting in the back seat with me. Our unborn baby meant the world to me, if anything happened to it I would be devastated. Luke cradled me in his arms and I noticed a tear fall down his cheek and Gina kept checking on me in her revision mirror. I snapped out of it finally and turned to Luke speaking “What if something’s wrong with our baby?” I asked Luke, tears streaming down my face as he pulled me into his arms and comforted me, rubbing my back, trying to be strong. Beau called Daniel and James and told them what happened and to meet us at the hospital.
We finally got there and Luke carried me to a wheelchair that was outside the hospital doors. He wheeled me in and to the front desk. He explained to the nurse what had happened and she directed us to the 2nd floor. Luke wheeled me to the lift and we got out on the 2nd level. We went over to the counter and explained to them what happened. A midwife walkikng past heard and directed us to a room down the hall. We saw Daniel and James running over and they joined us. Luke picked me up out of the chair and onto the bed. The midwife handed me a gown to place over my legs when I lifted my dress up. The lady said “So I’m Doctor Masters nice to meet you” smiling at us all. “I’m Lexi” I smiled before the others introduced themselves. “So you’re the dad?” the lady asked Luke as he was standing next to me, one hand on my shoulder, one holding my hand. “Yeah” he smiled nervously. Dr Masters squirted the cold gel on my stomach and began moving the machine around on my stomach, searching for a heartbeat. I took a deep breath and waited patiently. Still no sign of a heartbeat, 30 seconds later I was starting to get worried and then I heard a noise. “Ooh there it—Oh wow” the doctor said interrupting her first sentence. “What, what is it? Is something wrong?” Luke asked. “Well.. nothings wrong. Your baby is healthy, you just need to rest and take it easy because your body isn’t mature enough to handle this properly yet, so be careful. But there is something…” The doctor began. I was trying to think what it could be. “You’re having twins” the doctor said cheerfully. I didn’t know how to feel. “Woo that’s awesome” skip said dopily. “Omg!” Luke said as I looked at him. “What are you thinking?”I asked him. He smiled and spoke “I was excited for 1 baby now we are having 2…. Twins!!! And I’m over the moon”. That was a relief, I thought he was going to leave me, because this is so much to handle. “I’m happy too” I said as a huge ssmile spred across my face and Luke planted a soft kiss on my lips before the lady wiped the stuff off my stomach and the others came in for a celebration hug. Gina was so excited, shocked but excited. Just like the rest of us. The lady handed us the ultrasound photo she had printed out and then I remembered… “OMG I’m so so sorry but is there any chance we could find out the sex?”I asked her. “Of course sweetie, I’ll have a look to see if I can tell yet.” She told us. She repeated the process and began moving the machine around on my stomach, she found the heartbeats and stared at the screen, examining the figures. “Now this is never 100% this early, but theres a good chance” she began “That you are having twin girls. Congratulations” she smiled a big smile. My ears filled with the screams of the boys and Gina and I laughed and smiled with them and received lots of hugs and kisses. I was so excited, I could imagine how good the boys were going to be with the baby girls. They would love it and the fanbase was going to go CRAZY!! I felt much stronger now and I stood up off the bed with the help of Beau who was standing nearby. Luke walked over to me and picked me up, spinning me around and kissing me passionately. He put me down and craned his neck down to me, caressing my cheek with his soft hand and said “I love you so much!! You know that right?! And we are having twin baby girls!!! This couldn’t get any better.”as he kissed my nose, then my lips as things began to get more heated and I heard Beau say “Get a room guys” before he started whistling “woo-woooo” I didn’t get that…
We went out of the hospital and got in the car to go home. We said goodbye to James and Daniel and drove off. When we got home I called my family and let them know, they were all shocked but so happy for me and Luke and excited. After Luke and I went on his laptop and searched “14 weeks pregnant” to see what I was supposed to be feeling and how the baby was growing and stuff. Luke clicked onto a website and began reading out loud “It says, our babies are about 9 cm long and weigh about 43g each. It says that you won’t have to pee as much now that you’re in your second trimester.. thangod yo got up fuckin 7 times last night” he laughed as I said “Sorry our babies were pushing on my bladder.” As I laughed with him. “It says that your boobs are gonna get bigger now” he winked at me and bit his lip. God he was sexy. “Oooh it says that your nausea and vomiting should stop” he smiled at me and continued reading. He clenched his fist and said “This is how big each of our babies are now” and smiled at me as I did the same thing.
“I have to go home tomorrow” I pouted as luke did the same. “Well..” his face lit up. “We’d better make the most of it” he winked at me and lef us into Beau’s room.
