The drive seemed to take forever but it was going to be worth it in the end. Chris needed time to regroup and I needed the time to set up the plans for tonight. I needed to make one stop first before I could do anything. I pulled into Adrian's driveway. He was outside by his car working on it. He looked up and smiled at me. I waved to him. I looked down at my phone and frowned. Chris hadn't text me. Maybe he was still asleep. I took a deep breath then stepped out of the car.
"Adrian!" He gave me a hug. His grey eyes were very pretty. Probably his best feature. Of course after his perfect smile. He stepped back still smiling with his hands on his hips.
"Haven't seen you in awhile. What's new?" I guess he hadn't heard the news because of how far out he lived. I looked at his face that was still the same. I sighed.
"Hannah is dead." I said flat. His smile dropped and his eyes got wide.
"Excuse me, what did you just say?" He stepped closer to me disbelief still on his face.
"Hannah, she's dead. I'm so sorry." he shook his head. His face turned angry. He took another step away from me.
"That's not funny Lily. What do you want? Why are you here?" I took a hesitant step toward him.
"I need your help with something." I smiled at him. He made a confused look.
"And what would that be?"
"I'll tell you on our way there. But we need to go somewhere first to do something." He chuckled and his face had a disgusted look on his face.
"I'm not going anywhere with you. Not after last time you asked for my help with something." I frowned I know he would bring that up.
"Can't we just put that in the past? It was a mistake." He grabbed my arm.
"That was no mistake and you know that. Even if it was, that 'mistake' almost made me lose my life behind bars." I looked down. That was true and I knew that. I smiled I still had something that would work.
"Well Hannah never found out and neither did Chris. I promise it won't be like last time." He stared at me blankly. It was a little uncomfortable.
"Please help me. I need to right this wrong. This is the only way Chris will ever look at me." Adrian sighed and walked back to his car. My heart sank. He grabbed his leather jacket and came back.
"You promise it won't be like last time?" I nodded my head. He let out a heavy sigh.
"Fine I'll come but you have to tell me something first." He paused and rubbed the back of his neck. "What is the wrong you are trying to right?" My eyes got wide I knew he was going to ask that. I shook my head and smiled.
"It's nothing." He stepped back and folded his arms.
"I'm not coming if you don't tell me." My heart got faster. I needed to make something up.
"I hurt someone and I need to fix it is all." That wasn't completely a lie. I mean I did hurt someone I just couldn't say who. I looked up and saw him thinking.
"it was Chris wasn't it?" I let out a sigh of relief and giggled a little.
"Yeah, it was Chris." I looked up at his face. He was pale and wide eyed.
"No...Hannah." I froze. He stood staring at me in silence.
