On this very day a young vampire girl just turned one. She was very beautiful even for a toddler and very bright. On this day her grandfather, the oldest and strongest had an idea.

He asked one of his man servants to go to a werewolf scout and set up a meeting with their elder. The old grandfather wanted a truce.

The next night as soon as the sun set both vampire and werewolf elders met in the town cemetery. Both of them were alone. The werewolf elder was going gray in his hair and showed wrinkles on his face. He held a cane in his right hand to keep him up right. His clothes were a little wrinkled just like his face but the suit fit him well. The vampire was the opposite; there was hardly a wrinkle in his sight or gray hair. He was the essense of handsomeness and youth. His suit was in pristine condition with matching tie and vest.

"Hello Alpha. Nice night isn't it?" The vampire asked.

The werewolf nodded. "Indeed. So what brings you out here on neutral territory?" He asked.

"Well, you see Alpha I want a truce. My grand daughter turned one today, which I'm sure you're aware." The elder paused. "Its also been brought to my attention that you have a grandson. I think they should be wed in a truce between vampires and lycans." The elder finished. He waited for what seemed like an eternity before the old lycan answered him.

The lycan looked at the vampire elder. Took a breath then answered. "You want a future alpha to wed a vampire princess?" He asked in shock.

The vampire nodded. "Yes, best of both worlds. A princess of the night being guarded by a prince of the day." He explained almost like he was selling a pitch to a rich CEO, in a way he kind of was. He hoped he was convincing the old werewolf. He held up a hand almost in surrender. "Look at it this way, if we were to agree on this vampires wouldn't kill lycans and our territories would stay the same. If we don't agree..." He shrugged. "Everything stays the same. Our species will keep dying, and keep killing each other." He said.

"Ok you have a deal." The lycan said extending his hand to the elder vampire. The vampire shook the werewolves hand firmly and so the truce began.
