[Ash's POV]

"Ashley Marie Lentz! Get your little butt off the couch and get over here right now, young lady!" My mom shouted at me soon as I got home and plopped down on the couch. "You better tell me why you're missing class and why my credit card just so happened to magically buy fifteen; and I repeat, Fifteen Venti and Grande frappuccinos in the past two days." She practically growled, her voice rising with every word.

"You should fix that credit card thing. Seems like someone who's never had a frappuccino before had a panic attack. Maybe you could see if they're in the hospital. Give them a jar of flowers." I mutter, waiting for her to ground me. three....two....one....zer-

"Ashley, you are grounded until the end of this month! Go to your room!" I hopped up the stairs, pausing at every stair I land on. "Don't stall, Ashley!"

"I go by Ash." I mumble, sick of them calling me Ashley.

"So, you got grounded again. Well, what about that date with Sean?" Clover's voice rang through the phone.

"I'll still go. I don't care what they do. I'm stuck with the house's dummy phone. I know it was one of the 2000's smart phones but ehh..."

"You still have that old iPhone6? Dude. Time to update that house phone. Geez."

"It's actually my mom's old phone buuut... yeah."

"Whatever. Sooo what are you guys doin' for your date? Oooh! Tell me!"

"You sound like a two year old." I say, shaking my head through the camera on facetime. "But, we're going to the movies. Then a restaurant."

"Ooooh! Get 'em girl!" Clover squeals, shaking her fists I'm her face. "Excuse my fangirling." I stare blankly at her, never have seen her fangirling before in the whole 17 years of knowing her.

"I have never seen you do that."

"You have never seen me read manga or watch anime."

"Yes I have, we used to watch Fairy Tail, Black Butler, Attack On Titan, Angel Beats, Blue Exorcist, need I go on?"

"Um... no. Point proven. Sooo... " She trails off, blushing.

"What did Mrs.Ellis do when she found out I skipped?"

"She looked at your seat, sighed, and said 'has anyone seen Ashley?'" She said, making her voice nasal sounding by pinching her nose.

"Ha. I've told her that I don't go by Ashley. "

"You tell everybody that. And look who listens!" She says as I send her a glare. "You should go to class. Didn't you want to go to Harvard University or something?"

"no, I wanted to be a doctor, not a lawyer. And that was before I was told that I'm not smart enough to get a career ." I said bitterly.

"Who said that. Plus I'm pretty sure Harvard has a medical field."

"Whatever. But. Mr.McCarthy did."

"The principal?"She gasped.

"No the janitor. Yes, the principle."

"ASHLEY!" A scream sounds from downstairs.

"Brother's home. He walked into my prank. " I say, laughing.

"Okay, gots to go. " Clover said before waving and ending the chat. I pull over my bookbag and drag out my homework. Sighing, I begin working out the AP calculus problems.
