Chapter 20

El's POV

Myself and George made our way to magical creatures. Today we were joining a 3rd year class as they were looking at hippogriffs which was something some of us 5th years had never encountered before. I knew all about them and I was very excited to see one. Once we got to the class I saw many familiar faces such as the trio, Seamus, Neville, Dean and of course Malfoy.

As soon as we arrived hagrid had gone to get buckbeak. He came back and I was in complete shock, I couldn't speak.
"Who wants to come say hello then"
Everyone but myself and Harry stepped backwards. I felt George trying to tug me back but I wasn't having any of it. I knew how to approach these creatures so I began to slowly walk to it, I bowed and he almost instantly bowed back. I giggled and walked over to him and began to stroke him, he nestled his head into the crook of my neck and nuzzled himself in. I heard a click and Hagrid gave me the photo he had just taken.
"I bet he remembers yer mam, thats why he's being so welcoming to you, 10 points to Griffindor, now I think he'll let you ride him now"
And without a single word I was off. It was amazing, he flew me over the lake and ahh, it was just so so so amazing. Once we landed I giggled as I jumped off and ran into Georges arms, he picked me up and spun me around.
"It's nice to see you happy El"
I looked him dead in the eye and stopping laughing and smiling, he frowned and poked my cheek.
"I see that smile, c'mon El, c'mon smile"
I started to giggle and smile more, somehow I managed to turn so I was on Georges shoulders so I could see the rest of the lesson.
Harry was given the same opportunity as me, once he landed that Malfoy pushed his way past the twins, meaning I had fallen off Georges shoulders onto the floor. I winced slightly as pain shot through my legs but I was completely fine.

"Yes you're not dangerous at all are you you big ugly brute" Draco sneered at buckbeak.
Buckbeak however lashed out and scratched Draco's arm causing him to fall back. I got to my feet and ran over to calm buckbeak down (which I succeeded doing) and Hagrid carried Draco up to the hospital wing. I was slowly petting buckbeak when I felt someone tap my shoulders. I turned around and saw..

George's POV

Cedric, why the hell is Cedric talking to El, he has no right to. Myself and Fred decided to wait for El seeing as everyone else had left, that and we wanted to ear wig.

El's POV

"What do you want Cedric?"
"I just wanted to tell you how talented you are with the animals, I can't even imagine doing something like that, you should be proud of yourself and I'm sure your mum will be proud too!"
"Well thanks but that doesn't change the fact you cheated on me"
"I know but El baby, she forced herself onto me, do you remember? I was the one against the wall. I didn't initiate any of it, I promise you!"
"I'm sorry"
I looked down and sighed, I didn't know why I was apologising, I could never trust Cedric again but I'd like to be friends with him. I glanced over to the twins and saw George storming off and Fred just shook his head at me. Charming, alone again.

"Cedric I have to go, for now lets just go back to being friends okay?"
"Okay!"
We hugged each other and I ran off to my next lesson.
