Murasaki's POV

It was cold,it was dark...the raindrops fell on the ground rapidly soaking everything around.

The bell on the clock rang,signaling Midnight yet here I was out in the rain.Where am I supposed to go?

"What are you doing out here?"the sudden voice scared the shit out of me making me squeak.I quickly turned around just to see a boy with white hair and deep blue orbs that reflects the bottomless ocean.

"I-I don't know..."My teeth chattered as I spoke,It was cold I can barely move.

"You don't know?You dumb or somethin'?How the hell you do not know?"He asked,well,more like insulted.I huffed and ignored him,walking again once more.

Persistent I see.He keep following me whenever I go but I paid no attention,he was only a nuisance anyways.

"Stop"Whoa,now he's ordering me around.

I was about to snap ar him but a sudden spark of powerful force made me froze.My senses heightened as I look around trying to find the source.

"Huh?Such a coincidence for me to find you here,kil..."That voice...

I snapped my head towards the person just to see Illumi standing infront of us.

"I-I-Illumi..."I mumbled under my breath,slightly shaking.He turned his gaze towards me making me want to crawl into a hole and bury myself.

"Oh,If it isn't Murasaki,what are you doing here,little girl?"He spoke as he walk towards me making me step back as he does.But luck isn't on my side now,I hit the wall making no escape from him.

"I-I..."I tried to speak but no words can even escape my mouth.I'm scared,so scared.

"Hmm?What is it?"Please,stop it.I'm begging you,stop.

"Why are you here,Brother?"The boy earlier spoke averting Illumi's attention from me.He made a signal for me to run,but Illumi gripped my hand tight making no escape for me.

"I'm about to go home after my job,and here I was infront of you"Illumi answered staring at his brother with an indifferent look.

I'm scared,please just let me go.

"P-please..."I mumbled under my breath,shaking from fear.That made him look at me with his cold dark eyes making me want to cower in fear.

"Hmm?Did you say something?You can say it now,I will give you time to say your last words"His tone and aura became malicious making my eyes widen and tears pool out from it.

"I-I...P-please...d-don't kill me.."I begged for my life trying to convince him from killing me.

"No,I gave you enough time,I told you to never show your face to me again or I'll kill you,didn't I?"He saud making me flinch from his glare.I'm scared,someone please help me...

"Brother,stop that"His brother,Kil,said averting Illumi's attention from me again.

"This is none if your business,Kil,just go home already"Illumi ordered but the boy didn't even move an inch from his place.

"If you spare that girl,maybe I can obey what you just said"The boy said with a tense figure making me aware that even he,is scared of Illumi,but he stood up for me anyways,I will thank him later if I ever survive this.

"I don't need to obey your orders"Illumi said with a cold voice before looking at me again.He picked up one of his needle and pointed it at my forehead,ready to pierce through my brain anytime.My eyes dilated as I watch him show me no mercy.

"Ja,Murasaki..."His needle was jabbed at me,I closed my eyes waiting for me to go to hell.But it didn't happen.I slowly opened ny eyes and saw white hair covering me.I looked up and saw that his brother infront of me with his arms spread apart in a protecting manner.Illumi on the other side,is only a few feet away from us.

"Move,kil"Illumi said with authority,I can see the boy was scared but he didn't budge from his place and still protected me.

"Don't you dare lay a finger on her again"The boy said with determination making my eyes widen and my mouth slightly hanging open.

Why would he do this?Why is he helping me?Why?Just for me?

"Hmm,looks like theres no other choice,do what you want,just don't show your face to me,if you do I'll end you for good"Illumi said with a cold tone before disappearing into thin air.I released a breath I didn't know I was holding.The boy turned his head towards me and smiled at me making my cheeks heat up.

"My Brother is gone now,you're safe now"He said with relief making me smile.I'm now safe from Illumi.

"T-Thank you so much..."I said before collapsing on my knees,tears pool out from my eyes as I covered my face with my hands trying to contain my tears.

"I'm Scared...I-I'm so scared..."I sobbed then I felt arms wrapping around my frail figure trying to soothe me.

"Shh,don't worry,he won't hurt you anymore..."He said with such a gentle tone making feel at ease a little.I don't know what got into me but I feel safe in his arms,like there's no one that can hurt me if he's here by my side.

He rock me back and forth until I stopped sobbing but still my tears continued.

"T-Thank you so much..."I mumbled but loud enough for him to hear.I clutched his shirt and hugged him tightly while he just stroke my hair in a comforting manner.

"It's nothing...I'm Killua Zoldyck,you what's your name?"He asked,I let go of him before wiping away my tears.

"I'm M-Murasaki,Nice to meet you"I said with a small smile gracing my lips.

"Nice to meet you too"He said with his smile making my heart melt under his gaze.

Why am I feeling this?Why does my heart beats so fast?Why do I feel safe around him?Why did he save me?Why did he comfort me?I'm just stranger to him yet why?Why would he go that far just save some lowly life like me?Why me?Why?

"Why did you save me?Why would you do that?"I asked directing my gaze towards the ground waiting for him to answer.

"I don't know,I just feel bad about it so I saved you"He said with a bashful tone making me giggle.I looked up to him and smiled like never before.

"You're my savior in the Midnight rain,I guess..."
