Chapter Thirty ~ Eight

"Who can't be what?" Alex asked looking at me confused and I shook my head and tears started falling down my cheeks. "Taylor what's wrong? What happened?" Alex asked hugging me.

"Jay. He can't be." I said quietly but Alex heard it and he looked concerned and confused still but I just couldn't talk much. He can't be alive. He died. My mom, dad, and Jay they all died. Jay can't be alive.

"You're brother Jay?" Alex asked and I just nodded and he hugged me.

"What did Sam say?" He asked and I more tears ran down my face.

"She said Jay is still alive and Kim wants to see me." I said not looking at Alex and he let's go of me.

"What?!" Alex yelled and some people looked over at us but I just ignored them and they went back to what they were doing a minute later.

"I just don't know what to do Alex." I said and he held my hand. "He can't still be alive. He died with my parents." I said and I finally looked at Alex again and he looked sad.

"What do you feel like you should do?" Alex asked and I just put my head on his shoulder.

"I don't know Alex." I said and I started playing with his hand that I was holding. "It seems like a sick joke." I mumbled.

"If it is that's just cruel and evil." He said and I nodded.

"My sister can be that way but she always blamed me for their death so why would she say he's alive?" I said.

"Especially after all this time he just now is declared alive." Alex said and I thought about that.

"This all just seems not right." I said and Alex nodded.

"Maybe you shouldn't trust her." Alex said and I sighed.

"Do you want to come over to my house tonight?" I asked looking up at Alex.

"Sure." He said and I smiled. I needed Alex.

"Alex!" A familiar male voice yelled and I saw Alex smile widely.

I looked to see Zach(Alex's cousin) walking to us.

"Taylor!" Zach exclaimed and then he sat down next to me.

"Hey Zach." I said and he smiled.

"Hey dumba$$." He said to Alex smiling and Alex just shook his head.

"That's your name." Alex said smirking.

"Rude." Zack said and turned to me. "How can you deal with him?" He asked and I laughed as Alex hit him.

"Okay. Okay." Zach said laughing. "I'm going to go find some hot girls and you two can just continue eating each other's faces off." He said standing up and Alex flipped him off and Zach laughed and walked away.

I just smiled and pushed Alex playfully. "Be nice." I said and he pulled me to him.

"It's just Zach." Alex said hugging me. I laughed and he let go and looked at me.

"What?" He asked and I smiled.

"Nothing." I said and gave him a quick peck and laid my head on his shoulder. Then I remembered the Jay thing and decided to talk to Niall later.

The bell rang and I groaned because that meant lunch was over and I had to go back to class.

Alex laughed and stood up and gave me his hand. I grabbed it and stood up and we walked to class together.

Finally school was over. I walked to the normal spot where I meet Alex and I saw him with Zach. They were talking and smiling and laughing and it made me smile.

I walked over to them and Alex smiled at me and I grabbed his hand. Then I turned to Zach. "So find any hot girls you were looking for?" I asked jokingly.

"None that would talk or even notice him." Alex said and Zach glared at him.

"I'll have you know I did and I even got some numbers." He said and I wanted to laugh.

"Fake numbers and imaginary girls." Alex whispered and I laughed and Zach looked mad.

"They're real!" Zach yelled.

"In your dreams." Alex added and Zach groaned and I lightly pushed Alex while he just smirked.

"I hate you." Zach said and Alex laughed. "No you don't. You'd die without me." Alex said and Zach rolled his eyes.

"Oh yes Alex I could never live without you for I love you so. You are my other half like the Juliet to my Romeo. The Peanut butter to my jelly." Zach said dramatically.

"Why am I Juliet?" Alex asked and Zach smirked.

"Because I have the bigger di...." Zack said before I cut him off.

"Stop right there!" I yelled and they both looked at me.

"Her mind is innocent. Right?" Zach asked.

"Not really but when it comes to saying di....." Alex said but I cut him off.

"Alex!" I yelled and they both smirked.

"Don't worry we'll corrupt your innocent mind soon." Zach said I sighed.

"Why do I even deal with you two?" I asked and Alex's laughs and walks up behind me wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Because you love me." He said and kissed my cheek.

"And I'm his family and best friend so since you're dating you're stuck with me." Zach said proudly and Alex laughed and I just smiled and rolled my eyes.

"I have to go before mother kills me." Zach said and we said goodbye and he left and then Alex grabbed my hand and we left.

"Taylor!" Calum yelled up the stairs and I sighed and walked downstairs with Alex.

"Yes?" I asked once I reached the bottom step.

"Food." Calum said sticking his head out of the kitchen.

We all sat down and ate and Alex was next to me holding my hand.

"Hey guys do you know when One Direction's tour ends?" I asked and they all shook their head no.

"Sorry Taylor." Luke said.

"It's fine I'll just talk to Niall later." I said and Mikey studied me for a minute.

"Why do you ask?" Mikey asked and I sighed and Alex squeezed my hand.

"Well I need to talk to him about my brother Jay." I said and then you could tell the mood went down.

"Oh." Was all Mikey said and we went back to eating and some talking.

Finally dinner was over and Alex and I went back to my room.

"So you're going to talk to Niall about the whole sister and Jay thing?" Alex asked and I nodded.

"Jay and Niall were mates and Niall is like my brother so I have to." I said and Alex nodded his head in understanding.

"Sorry Taylor but I have to go." Alex said and I felt upset because I never want Alex to leave.

"Okay." I said and I hugged him tightly and he laughed softly and hugged me back. I love his hugs they make me relax.

"I'll see you tomorrow." He said and we let go and he left.

I got on my phone and facetimed Niall.

"Hey Taylor." He said and I smiled somewhat.

"What's wrong?" He asked and I took a deep breath before speaking.

I explained everything to him and he looked upset.

"I'll be there in two days." He said and I shook my head.

"What about your tour?" I asked.

"Tonight's the last show anyway." He explained and we talked for a bit before we hung up and I fell asleep.

"I miss you Jay, mom, and Dad." I whispered before I passed out.
