Peril flew off the balcony of Clay' s personal cave. She had walked every centimeter of his cave and found... nothing. At all, what so ever. She still remembered what happened but not so clearly. There was one skywing who look oddly familiar. There was also an Icewing, big and burly, who held Peril down as Clay was knocked out. She still remembered their cold scales upon her' s. Then there was a Nightwing. So larger that he had trouble getting out, off the balcony. He too looked oddly familiar as well. Her mind was still fuzzy whenever she tried to recall what happened. As she flew she fiddled with the chain upon her neck. Remembering why she wore she scowled as she thought about taking it off. The days of her being an outcast were over. She was definitely iffy about letting Turtle use his magic just like her father did. But she trusted him. Watching as her core temperature dropped she knew it worked. She could now touch anyone without hurting them. She was hugged by many but it still felt weird. Peril turned her face upward as the rain started to fall to the earth below. She had to land soon or she would risk herself, and unborn child.

The rain picked up to a poor as Peril flew. She saw a small village ahead and decided to try and stay their for the night. Clay, please be alright. She thought over and over again. Landing a ways away so she wouldn't ruin her chance of being able to stay she walked the rest of the way. The village wasn't much. Mud and stone mounds stood as houses for those who lived here but even with the rain, life still seemed joyful for these dragons. Dragonets were running around, playing in the mud. One was very curious as the new comer because she stopped giggling and stopped running. The others seemed to notice as did the adults. Everyone seemed to freeze at the sight of the Skywing. One Skywing stepped forth. She looked exactly like Kestral. Except much smaller and skinnier and nicer looking.

"Peril? Is it really you?" The dragoness' s voice spoke through the rain. That's when Peril realized that all the Skywings were smoking. Literally. Peril had no words except for the weird glances from others.

"Don't fear us dear. In fact we are all like you." Like me? No! No one is like me. I'm a monster! Peril felt a tear slip down her cheek. The ran hid it but in this certain dragoness' s eyes Peril realized that she wasn't the only dragon with her past. Not her murderess past. She looked back at the dragon in front of her. She shook her head yes to confirm Peril' s theory. One thought rang through her head.

I'm not the only one with fire-scales...
