Control

Peril awoke with vines around her. Some of them that were close looked singed. She stood quickly and turned around. Everything around Icestar was frozen solid making him barely visible. Crevas was pulling hard, trying to get his tail. Abyss was no where in sight and Wave' s wings were completely tangled up. Peril looked over to where Mullbury was lying. She was shaking. Peril quickly went over to her, dodging as many vines as possible.

"Mulberry. It's ok. " She soothed.

"No its not.  I can't make it stop. I'm scared Peril!" She replied quickly.

Peril looked around at the others and turned back to Mulberry.

"Think of something that makes you happy. Take a deep breath. You can control the vines." She said to her.

Mulberry gazed at the dragoness in front of her before nodding and standing shakily. Taking a deep breath she closed her eyes. Little by little the vines were retracting. Slowly, the vines made their way back to Mulberry where they disappeared under her talons.

She hesitantly opened her eyes. Her eyes widened. "I did it." She whispered.

Peril nodded excitedly. Now we actually have a chance. She thought. I just have to help the others.

"Hey Peril. We should go out and get food." Icestar stood next to her and spoke quietly. "We can let the others rest a little longer." He said.

Peril agreed and followed him out into the cold weather. " We can catch a polar bear." He suggested.

Peril nodded at him and looked up. The sky was blue without a cloud in sight. For others the snow was cold. But since Peril had firescales and Icestar was an icewing, it didn't phase them.

"I've never seen a skywing as pretty as you." Icestar said after some silence.

Peril was shocked. Luckily her blush was covered up but she didn't say anything. She didn't know what to say.
