(((yes i put 'In the End' by Linkin Park up the top... deal with it :D)))

A flowing river? A puddle? Why is it sticky? Argh my head... What's that screaming? Shut up I'm trying to sleep! People can be so inconsiderate... I found myself in my bedroom. The sheets covering my body and sweat spread across my skin. The posters by my bed looked down on me. Good morning guys, I mentally greeted them. Who was on my posters again? I don't know, I don't care. I get out of my hard, rocky bed and stretch but feel nothing. Hmm I feel really weird. I ignored the strangeness around me and went outside to see the intense sunlight. I squinted at first but then got used to it and made my way over to the house.

'Morning Mum' I groaned as I entered the front door.
She smiled and and answered with a simple 'morning darling.'
I walked into the spare room to grab my uniform from the cupboard so that I could get changed for school. It was winter wasn't it? Wait what time of year was it again? Winter, yeah... winter uniform. I took my skirt, white long sleeved shirt, blazer and tie and went into the bathroom to change.

'What would you like for breakfast honey?' my mum asked.
'I'll make it Mum' I answered and put a piece of brown bread into the toaster. The Vegemite was sitting in the fridge as always and I grabbed it so that I could spread it onto my toast. Why did it feel like I hadn't eaten toast in a long time? I pushed the thought away and put it into my mouth. No taste. Was I sick or something? I glared at the toast in confusion.
'What's wrong Sarah?' Mum asked.
'Mum...'
How long had it been since I'd hugged her? I ran up to her and wrapped her in my arms but... something felt wrong. I looked up at her but I couldn't make out her features. Suddenly she pushed me over and I fell to the floor. The hard tiles were old under me. When I looked up she was gone and I was no longer in my kitchen. I saw Megan standing above me. She shook her head but held out a hand to help me up.
'You're so stupid' she commented.
'What? What did I even do?' I was confused.
'Why did you fall over?'
'I... I... because I was pushed?'
'No you idiot, wake up and help your friends! Jesus Sarah, you're so lazy...'
'Megan wait!' I called out.
'What?' she asked in an annoyed tone.
'Where am I?'
'Where are you? You're still in the middle of the end of the world sis.'

My eyes fluttered open. Where was I? A bed? What the heck is going on?
'Sarah' a familiar voice filled my ears.
I tried to get up but failed. My head was pounding. I felt something wrapped around it and my stomach. I moved my hand down and felt a bandage. My eyes moved to it and I saw red. I felt the lingering pain there, not just on the skin but in my organs too. What happened? I felt someone hug me gently but it still hurt to be touched and I hissed.
'Oh my God Sarah... you're awake.'
I groaned.
'Take your time, it's okay, you were badly hurt.'
'M...Mitch?' my throat was dry and sore.
'Here' he answered, handing me some water.
'W... Where... argh. Where are we?' I managed to get out.
'Don't worry Sarah, we're somewhere safe.'
'Mitch?' I asked.
'Yes?'
'What happened?'
He paused. It was as if he didn't really know how to explain it. He rubbed the back of his head and looked off at something else.
'Sarah...'
'Yeah?'
'You were in a coma for fourteen days...'
